Prone to rate WSU lower than most, goober Jerry Palm had WSU as a 10 seed yesterday morning. This morning, he updated and dropped WSU to a 12, but they are not on his last 4 in list, so apparently they are at least a few spots away from the exact cut off.

If WSU wins their last 5 and then loses in the semis or the finals, 6-1 or 7-1 will be at worst a net neutral for their resume. At that point, even nay sayers like Palm will likely have WSU in their field. I stand by my claim that WSU has 1 more loss to spare, either regular season or in St. Louis.

Or Palm has Wichita State out of the tournament without an auto-bid. Impossible to know without a full S-curve.

True @AndShock:, on 2nd glance, Palm has all the play-in teams as 11s and has all assumed tourney champs as 12s.

I'll just stick to... Palm is dumb, Shox are in with 8 losses.

I agree 1 more loss either reg season or mvc tourney. If more than that looking at bubble/ first four play in.

We can afford one more loss, but that loss HAS to be in the finals of the MVC tourny. Of course, if we have one more loss and its not in the MVC finals, that means we won the MVC tourny so point is mute. But two losses, one in reg season and one in tourny finals = NIT.

I think given the craziness of college basketball this year we could actually lose in the semis and probably be okay but that's not a given

I hope not either but UNI is too good to not get in. I suspect we'll wind up matching up with either UNI or ISUR in St. Louis. Don't see us winning either one of those. Fred's hammy is still bothering him. Hence why he's unable to finish at the rim this year and Ron's obviously got a sprained wrist (and tired legs). We will probably run the table to finish out the regular season which should be more than enough to garner at least a 9 seed.
