  • I've never seen as poor of a display by visiting fans as I did today. Particularly the fan with the flag and the fan with the red and gray jacket. If the cops had to be summoned, you knew it was bad.

    • Just for the record to compare how the two fan bases act of the opposing school's message board, this is the only thing posted by a WSU fan on the UNLV message board:

WSU fan here. Excited for the game and yes a lot of us feel it is a must-win game for us because Missouri Valley teams don't have much leeway when it comes to the selection committee. We don't have many high RPI teams left on our schedule so winning this is important to heal some of the wounds inflicted on us by our early struggles. The reason WSU fans are excited about Frankamp becoming eligible is very closely tied to the health of Van Vleet. He's at best 80% and Fred's back-ups currently are a true freshmen (who has struggled) and a walk-on. Thus, if Fred is not able to play 30+ minutes, it will be a big boost to have a very talented back-up to fill in. Plus, he's a local boy so the community is excited for him. Good luck!
Yes, clearly WSU fans are the problem here. Instead of just being polite on their board, we should have know that we were supposed to bow down and kiss the ring on our own board as well.

Maybe your team should learn to play without VanFleet So you don't lose 3 in a row. Rebel fans may be upset about the loss, but I have to say you guys have some of the douchiest fans after a win, and I thought San Diego St fans were bad. Goodluck the rest of the way and feel free to ban me because I'm positive I won't be back because I'm sure your team would never have the balls to take a trip to Vegas and play on our court for a change.
Tell your AD to schedule a H/H series or to not draw WSU on the road in the MWC/MVC challenge. One they can control, the other is luck of the draw.

Either way, I'm sure WSU would be fine with playing in Vegas; at least I know I would sure be fine with it. One thing I do garuntee is that if they played in Vegas, WSU fans would travel well. I would hate for UNLV fans to try and argue that it was actually a nutural court game.

As for SDSU, it's nice to be compared to a fanbase of a team that consistently beats UNLV as well.

How'd you like the screams and shouts during our free throws? Just a complete douchefest.

          • lets see, we led the whole game, were up double digets big part of the first half, led the entire second half anywhere from 8 to 10 points. And you were lucky it was that close . If we hit a decent % on our freethrows like normal(usually about 75% for the year, the game would have been a comfortable 10 to 15 point win. VanVleet playing at 85%, Frankamp first game in over a year, our starting 6'9 post still out with a spinal concussion and our 4 star 6'5 super guard who was averaging 9pts a game Landry Shamet out with a stress fracture and you say you had a bad game. Wow were still not even close to what we will be in another month. Good luck the rest of the year though, we need this for our RPI...

            • Good to see Play Angry back in full swing. Now if the Shocks can just remember where they misplaced their shooting touch. Hopefully, they run that down in the next day or two.

Can't believe I forgot. That was a pathetic display.

It's a very pathetic statement about the UNLV program. Way to rep your school rebel fans.

                  • Anyone see how out of control the UNLV fans behind their bench were towards the end of the game? It was cracking me up.

                    • I thought I found the fans of every team we played complaining about playing their worst game of the season annoying.

Turns out, it can be the little things you miss the most. Good to add another group to a very long list.

There were several Top 50 and Top 100 players on the court. The guy with a gimpy leg looked so much better than all of them it is laughable. Sidenote: If FVV got the calls one Melo Trimble did on his drives, people wouldn't be able to use the "but Trimble is a scorer" argument much either.

                      • The funniest thing was at the end of the game biggest douche UNLV fan shaked the cops hand to try to smooth it over. The cop clearly wanted to have no part of that. What a sucky fan base. That school sucks big time.

What caused it? Do they always get that mad after a loss? If so, I would've hate to been around that bunch last year.

                              • Now about the game.

I thought our help defense was outstanding. Maybe one of the best Shocker efforts I have ever seen.

The help stopped a lot of penetration and caused turnovers.

Without it, we probably would have lost the game.

Senora Rio thought Coach Marshall was absolutely giddy on the post game show.

I know that Zimmerman will become a very good player. At times, I thought he was a little full of himself. That's just me.

All of those UNLV leading the nation stats took a beating. Particularly turnovers.
