There is a lot of over reaction on here. Only one or two people have been extreme toward(actually against) Tyrone Taylor. They are unrealistic because TT is just a freshman. I do think that it was reasonable for someone to think that a redshirt would have helped TT learn the point guard position a couple of weeks ago. He obviously has a lot of talent and appears to be headed toward becoming a very good point guard at some point at WSU. However with the injuries we have endured, a redshirt wouldn't have worked out anyway. He is needed to play in the Advocare Tournament whether he is ready or not. Marshall himself said that he should be playing 6 minutes per game instead of the 20 or so that he has played. Maybe Frankamp won't be ready to play either, which in that case, our hopes for a high tournament finish may be difficult.

Our problems don't stop with our guards and injuries. Now they extend to the front line players who along with injuries, have a player with an attitude problem. I'm still hopeful for this season but this has been a bad week all the way around. The only truly bright spot has been McDuffie and TT may benefit from a lot of playing time this week too. Time will tell how soon he gets it but I think that at some point, he will get it.

I'm in the grey area. On one hand, the 6 assists and 0 turnovers are excellent point guard stats. The shooting, not so much. But.. at least he's not afraid to shoot, unlike most of our guys right now. I'm tellin ya, FVV, Baker, and HCGM will get this guy calmed down, and his shot selection will become much better.

Shot selection is one of many things that freshman must learn.

If Taylor shoots about 10 times less next game, he'll be headed in the right direction. There is absolutely no reason on this planet why he should be taking as many shots as Ron and MM COMBINED.

A lot of this comes from too much dribbling. Ron is doing that also. That tells me the offense is way out if synch as the expected passing lanes are not available. Seems like with the shorter shot clock, doubling the point guard is a very effective technique

              As Jay Trotter once said.

"It's never been my gambling that you hated. It's been my losing!"

It's not taking the shots. It's missing the shots. Everybody on the whole team needs to start making some of their shots.

It's another thing if he had never shown any ability as a shooter, ever, but he hasn't. It's not like there has been a go to guy that we could be feeding down low every possession in lieu of his quick jumpers.

Shox are just in a tough spot and he deserves his share of blame as the whole team does, but his share is no more than every other guy.

He would take a lot fewer shots if more guys shoot the shots our offense generates. The hesitation Kelly, Brown, and Grady have demonstrated destroys offensive flow.

Kelly and Evan started to take some offense generated shots, but way too often we look afraid to shoot. That is never going to work.

I hope they start forgetting about the result and focus on the process.

Because of a half court miracle that went in at that buzzer?

                        • 3G has big expectations for our point guard and what their role will be. It took Rag's 3/4 of a Season to be handed they keys to the point-guard role. TT was thrown in the fray before expected this Season and will continue to learn his role. I did like his make right before the half which showed some range there.

I sure hope you're right. This kid is a heart-attack waiting to happen so far. The heart-attack will be mine! This guy is slowly killing me!

But seriously, I see no reason for TT to be getting this much playing time, especially considering that Simon seems perfectly capable of bringing the ball up the court. Hopefully this is all a moot discussion as FVV will be back and good to go.
