  • update from the man himself! Pictures included in the tweet.

6 weeks ago today I had surgery. On track to be able to jog in 2 weeks. Still a ways to go but I'm progressing well!

    • Sounds to me like he is trying to get back this season.

Granted, you want to get back to 100% as quickly (and safely) as possible, but I thinks he knows just how good we can be this season if he can contribute.

        Yikes, that’s a big screw!

My first question would be, does the screw come out at some point?

        Interesting answer… “maybe”?

“Another commonly asked question is whether the screws need to be removed. The answer is maybe. Most screws do not need to be removed unless the screws have come loose, are causing irritation or you want them removed. In the majority of cases, the screw does not need to be removed and can stay in your foot or ankle forever.”

          • If I remember correctly, Kevin Durant was out the remainder of last year (after recovering from this surgery and briefly coming back) because the screw in his foot was causing irritation and they ended up removing it.

When Suellentrop talked to him, he mentioned it is calcifying over as expected. That leads me to believe it's staying in.

Oh crap, I've probably started a new "leave it in - no, take it out" debate. :)

You posted this without pictoral reinforcement. You are "slipping" my friend.

                      • If your screw is stuck, that might be a good problem to have.

A bucket of water usually takes care of the problem.
