I'm just going to assume that I'm the one missing something here.
I gotta agree with you. Shamet looked human today, but he looked like a pretty good player too.

Shaq looks the same as he did last year. That doesn't mean he needs to leave or be left behind.

This reminds of some of HCGMs earlier teams and even a couple of MTs teams where if you put in anybody other than the top 6-7 players the lead evaporated even against inferior competitions.

Grady is not what we are used to. He can't move his feet and he won't be diving on the floor much if at all. Oh and he can't jump an inch. It's not his fault but facts are facts. He is a defensive liability against a lot of teams. But he can score. Really would be better as a situational player where he can get you 20-25 points on the right nights. Unfortunately he's our best option because Shaq is MIA and Bush is Bush. Carter, Coleby, Lufile and EO for their shortcomings were great athletes

Shaq or EH need to start getting it soon.

Giving up 41 in the second half was silly. Team is lost without fred... And connor will be a huge addition. Brown and Kelly need to step it up.

I'm thinking Connor is going to save this team this year. We've got a mix of Seniors and babies, but no one in the middle. Connor is just that guy. Even if his defense does't meet expectations, I'm willing to bet his offensive contribution will outweigh any defensive lapses.

I think we sometimes see what these freshmen are capable of, what they will be, and we forget this was the 3rd game of their first year. Of all Gregg's freshmen the only one I know of that came in and played like a seasoned veteran right off the bat was a RS Ron Baker. Even Fred started slowly.

Evan was a sophomore that year...so Ron and Fred.

                      Huh? Grady can't play defense?

Have you watched on switches or hedges? More importantly have you sat in on practices?

Or are you just being a smartass?

I too would disagree with that assessment.

I watched him in four games. Watched him play just fine today. He isn't the problem. There are many right now, but he isn't one of them.

Me too. He is not the athletic screen hedging, shot altering 5 we are used to, but he can play.
