In the case of Wichita State, his criticisms aren't very veiled but rather open and obvious.

It's clear to me that he's just using controversy for clicks, at least in our case.

If I was in charge at Wichita St.....I'd call him tomorrow offering him an assistant job. Just to "see" what he'd say. Lol

Wouldn't it be grand if that "offer" was out on the table from Gregg Marshall for the whole nation to hear about and he...uhh-hmm scoffed about it on the air never to hear from nary another university EVER AGAIN??

      Buh-bye dumb-ass. Buh-bye.

Does anyone think Doug would be eligible for a UNLV credit card?

My guess is that he saw it work for Jimmy Dykes and figures why not try and get a D-1 coaching job out of just asking for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dykes had coaching experience before he went to the broadcast booth, so I don't think this is his first rodeo. However, he did get a hometown girl, a good hometown girl at that, to go play for him. He'll have success.. Gottlieb on the other hand, I guess wait and see.

He only had stints in the NBA summer league. Other than that, lower professional league in the US and overseas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_G...ketball_career

If you're talking about Gottlieb, per his Wikipedia, it says he played in the USBL, played overseas in Israel, France, and actually played for some Salina team in some league that is now defunct. That's about all I can tell you. Whether or not you want to count leagues like the USBL and the CBA as professional basketball or not is up to you.

That's why the article called him a "professional" PG rather than NBA PG, which is what you might ordinarily expect to see.

Me, too. This would get him off our back and would also allow us to trounce his Butt!

Doug's father was an assistant coach under Jack Hartman at K-State and Eddie Sutton at Creighton.

No wonder he can't stand seeing the Shockers succeed.

The connection to Creighton now explains SO much.
