But I told ya people would forget about KU's loss on Monday. No drop.
Not only not a drop for KU but what do you do with Kentucky's loss at Kansas. I'll tell ya.

As for the locals, I gave Kentucky a five-spot bump because that was a dazzling effort at Kansas Saturday.
          Talk about quality losses.

It can't possibly be that it was a close game played by two "good" teams. No... nope, it is that one "great" team survived against an opponent that is nearing "greatness" again. Objective metrics be damned.

We're talking about the same eye-testers who have had Providence in the AP top 15 for who knows how long, while they've actually been in the Kenpom 35-50 range.

            • Tyson Alger ranks us 22.

I am guessing we will wind up at 19 or 20 based on early returns. It looks like we will finally be listed on close to everyone's ballot, as some of the holdouts like Alger are begrudgingly adding us.

Poll mechanics will work in our favor down the stretch if we continue to play well and win. Getting on a ballot to begin with is the hardest part of the battle.

Yep. This is the week where at the very least we need to be on everyone's ballot. The big jump will wait until the week of the NMSU game. If the Shox can go 3-0 that week while others around them fall, they could suddenly be 24-5.

                    Still waiting on AP.

                    • WSU 21st in AP Poll.

323 points this week vs. 151 points last week, so there was a fairly significant move in the raw tally that was not reflected in the one spot jump.

There was a pretty significant increase in vote tallies between 22 and 21 last week, so I'm happy with the increase in raw votes. Keep winning and everything else will take care of itself.

                              Great point.

I'm shocked KU fell 3 spots. Absolutely shocked.

Duke finally makes their exit out. That was nice to see.

I still think Maryland is the most overrated team on the planet.

                              ... No really, deuces.

                              • I think Maryland is getting helped by the "well, somebody has to be ranked 4th" voters.
