Plus, once he becomes eligible, which can't happen soon enough. Conner is their most experienced combo guard behind Baker. They don't just expect him to be a player; they may NEED for him to be a player.

      Send EMS to Gilbert, AZ.
I too think CF is going to be a great addition to the team. That being said, this comment made me think, I wonder how many Valley squads would like to have a JRS coming off their bench right about now.

I will be surprised if Conner is not a huge star for the Shockers. He obviously is a great basketball player, and he will be surrounded by lots of talent. I will miss VanVleet, Baker, and Wessel, but it is good to know that Frankamp will be around to maintain the trend of great WSU guards.

I wonder how many guys we will be able to put on the "all newcomer" team this year, or if there will be too few minutes for that to happen as much as it could with a less talented, less veteran team. I can see CF and AG getting there, but wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of frosh fighting for a spot too.

Assuming your top seven are FVV, RB, EW, AG, SM, CF, and ZB, there aren't going to be very many minutes for the freshman. Maybe one can break through.

I agree up to a point. There will be some games early before CF is eligible that might provide some minutes for someone. Also, with that top seven, I could see a few Valley teams getting absolutely brutalized to allow a few stat sheet stuffer games for the youngsters. I could certainly be wrong though. Those minutes might be mostly eaten up by the sophomores and Bush.

Straight cash indeed, and soon. Frankamp had a lot of schools that wanted him, including some recognizable names (at least in the Glorious New Big East, as I recall), who almost certainly were offering a scholarship this year as well as in the future. His choice of WSU, and his willingness to "walk on," suggests that he expects to be a player here just as much as WSU expects that from him.

This is a case of mutual high expectations, and Frankamp will show the ability as not just a shooter but a maker (among other things), in addition to having the situation and coaching he needs, to realize those expectations. Once December 12 arrives, I'll bet every team WSU faces the rest of the way (and especially everyone in the Valley) will be wishing he was on their side instead of WSU's. It's probably just harder to see that from a thousand-plus miles away in Arizona than it is for those of us locally who first became familiar with Frankamp from his remarkable exploits at Barry Sanders High.

we're going to have a big man break through this year from either Wamukota, Kelly or Nurger. The minutes are there and one of these guys is going to make a big leap this year.

Here is my take on Frankamp. Young HS hoops star grows up seeing the flash and bing that Lawrence City Juco brings. Doesn't really pay attention to the Law in his own backyard. Goes to Lawrence City Juco. Has lunch a few times at McDonald's on 6th street. Sees that Lawrence City Juco is always catering in food from McDonald's and the burger boys are SELFish and don't let Conner have the Big Mac or the Double Quarter with cheese. Self says Conner eat the burger that comes with your happy meal. Now at that time Marshall Law has just got back from the Final 4, had an Undefeated Regular season and plays a hell of a game against Kentucky. All the while he is leading the Big Macs in the dance and someone says hey Conner I bet they get Taco shop tacos at Wichita State and you will learn to play with a real team and get more life experiences from Marshall than you every will get being the happy meal in a team of McDonald's burgers.

(My apologizes for the above story. It came to me and I had to share)

I for one support any player that decided to play at WSU no matter what other school the kid goes to first.

                          1. WSU has a very good team this year, even if Frankamp was not at WSU.
                          2. It is difficult for 6' SG's to succeed in D1.
                          3. It is difficult for HS SG's to convert to PG after they get to college.

If Frankamp turns out to be used as a zone buster or a role player, I will not be disappointed. That may be all we need from him. I certainly hope he does better than that, but I'm not going to be disappointed if he doesn't live up to the hype of being a top-40 HS player.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Fair assessment and expectations. I expect more, but that's quite fair.

Man I hope you're dead on here. We're going to be really good if the above does not come to fruition. If it DOES..........

                                Thank you, Lord.
