For the record, I am not against more good games on the schedule. I am against selling out to get them.

The selection committee screwed up big this year and I wish we could change some things about them for the future, but it is what it is, and if that is how they are going to operate, then WSU would be greatly benefited by a better schedule if at all possible.
Defining "selling out" is the trickiest part of the equation, and that is where all of us will probably have varying opinions about where to draw the line.
My original comment to cdizzle was simply to point out that it is true that WSU's RPI and KenPom have been impressive with the current level of schedules, but clearly this past year, the schedule hurt WSU in a much greater category... NCAA seed.Last edited by Jamar Howard 4 President; April 24, 2015, 11:27 AM.

It's a question of either we can change something (improve our schedule) or the committee can change something (which seems a lot less likely to happen).
I think that's kind of what we're all saying. Ideally, we'd want the selection committee not to operate with their heads up their asses, but they've shown we can't count on that. ;)

Wichita State would be greatly benefited by a better MVC OOC win/loss record. If the Valley comes in with 80-90 OOC wins
all of the problems of lack of top 100, top 50 RPI games, even the overall SOS solves itself. And it doesn't matter that much
who those wins come against.

MVC will be lucky to have 3 top 50 teams, and our NonCon will be lucky to have 3 top 50 teams, if not top 25. UNI,ND,UTAH,UNLV could all pan out in top 25.
Here is where WSU's non-con SOS ranked in the top 25 in kenpom the past few seasons (meaning if you ranked the kempom top 25 by their NCSOS):
2015 - 6th
2014 - 7th
2013 - 10th
2012 - 4th
...you get the idea.
WSU doesn't play that weak of a non-con schedule, relative to other top teams. That is an irrational line of thinking primarily utilized by mouth-breathing P5 goons.
Oh... and I for one care about seeding. Greatly.

***Looking at my last post, if all turn out well, we could have 5 or 6 given unofficial 15-16, so things are looking quite well. I think I speak for all of us when I say I'd rather play someone esle than Charl. South..Last edited by ShocktheHawks; April 24, 2015, 11:49 AM.

We can start by playing teams other top 15 schools have heard of. Take a look back at 2014. We slaughtered or won easily to most our non-con, and lost to our lone top 25 team. (Still hurts) I am just saying it would be nice to play a few teams that are upper tier teams. Like ourselves.
*** say all our march games.

*Is that ok? Or have I gone completly bat **** crazy posting what everyone else is hoping? Should I only post about what is, or can we speculate on the what-ifs
This is what happens when you google WSU all day. Found this.
