Sort of. He's a wing forward. Zach Brown, another wing forward, also made a top 100 list (future 150 or something).

Zach Brown (for whatever reason-we never find out) did sink in the rankings sometime before after his early spring commitment.

No idea if it's accurate or not, but I heard his rankings slipped after people heard he was coming to WSU. Something about "if he's going there, he can't be that good."

I have size 15 feet so I asked my wife about this and she says it is definitely not true.

            • I didn't think Mcduffie actually played in a /big man/ role?

              • I have a feeling McDuff will be a stretch 4, similar to how Cle played

                • Would he need to fill out to play the 4?

                  • He may be one of those guys with a skinny frame, like Aaron Ellis. I'm sure the staff has him on the right diet and workout program to help get him where he needs to be. He's only 17 afterall, he'll put on some pounds eventually.

I'm guessing he'll play the 3 since that's what Marshall said. He could play limited time at the 4, but his main position will be the 3.

                      • Going through Shocker Basketball withdrawal. I probably had the worst withdrawal symptoms under control ... and then I watched Ron play in the PanAm games.

So ... Which games from WatchESPN for the last 2 and 1/2 seasons would you re-watch? And someone should take every Cotton dunk in those games and make a youtube video.

Zach was a rising junior/senior and was getting or about to get a bunch of offers after he tore up an April AAU tournament. He was undoubtedly headed to the top 100. He quickly commits to WSU, and as a post-grad, stops playing AAU to be on WSU campus for summer practice. He went to Sunrise positively committed and those that put out the rankings quit paying attention.

                          • SB Nation's slant...

We continue our summer preview series with the Missouri Valley, where Wichita State again appears poised to be a big-time player on the national scene.

I was ripping games off my DVR non stop this past weekend. I really enjoyed the game against Tennessee from the undefeated season. Cotton had the best offensive/defensive back to back plays I've ever seen in the 2nd half in addition to a monster game overall. The game at Indiana State that season was good too.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

He could get away with having a skinnier frame in MVC play based on size/athlecism alone. But as far as top tier teams, like Duke and Kentucky, especially Kentucky he would need to add on at least 15-20 pounds in order to withstand getting backed down in the low post.
Cle, in the Round of 32 game a couple years back vs Kentucky had to guard Randle a lot of the time, and he did well for the most part but there were times where Randle's strength and positioning down low was simply too much and he could score with ease
