A former associate pastor at a Wichita church, he’s officially the Shockers’ volunteer team chaplain. But Dickie calls himself the character coach, which is just fine with Gregg Marshall, the coach of all things men’s basketball at WSU.“All of us are pretty much guys of faith,” VanVleet said

I very rarely check out the politics section, so I like it when issues that could affect our team are in the basketball forum. To me, potential litigation isn't even really politics. It's part of the justice system, so just like we would put an arrest in the basketball forum, I am fine with this being here.Last edited by jocoshock; March 26, 2015, 12:23 PM.Kansas is Flat. The example you gave above is another 1 in 1,000 thread that directly impacts our team and belongs in the basketball forum. Again, it would be easy to ignore if you aren't interested.
We have another forum called "Around the NCAA" where we talk about coaches being hired/fired/recruited. But all of the HC3GM getting recruited threads belongs right here in the WSU Basketball forum, because it directly impacts us.
The other forums aren't a place to hide things you aren't comfortable with, they are a place to put non-basketball related stuff (other than the Recruiting thread, because again recruitment information can overwhelm the rest of this forum).
That's my opinion and I won't be swayed. If it gets moved you won't hear me complain either. :)Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

This is that one out of a 1,000 where it DIRECTLY impacts our team, and therefore it belongs right here.

The John Birch Society opposed it calling it part of a Communist conspiracy. Fred C. Koch was a leadimg member of the JBS. Was that a basketball topic or a political topic. I say Politics.

It is really too bad this 'character coach', or 'chaplain', or whatever, isn't a Muslim cleric instead. If he were, he'd be on the front page of the NYT as a shining example of moderate Islam, and probably would pick up a Nobel Peace Prize nomination along the way somewhere during all the media fellatio.
Unfortunately, he is joe blow the random evangelical, so instead we get this from the loonies:
