At least in pro ball someone might run an offense that intentionally works to get him the ball. Evansville has largely wasted him.

@JonRothstein: Northern Iowa's Ben Jacobson has received a 10-year contract extension, per the school. Well deserved.

Ben was making around $500K. Still a hell of a pay bump.

It's not just SIU. I pulled this off the Bradley board today:

Here is the report on Twitter-

              Aaron Ferguson @Sports_Aaron · 1h 1 hour ago
Sources: Mike Shaw, Warren Jones, Ka'Darryl Bell, Omari Grier and Jackson Kane are the only players expected to return to Bradley.

With that being said, Josh Cunningham is expected to transfer from Bradley.

Bradley coach Brian Wardle has been meeting one-on-one with his team. He is expected to release these players from their scholarships.

As of now, Kendahl Amerson, Tramique Sutherland, Xzavier Taylor and Nate Wells have all been granted their release.

Yikes... Hopefully Wardle can use this as an opportunity to get "his guys" in quickly.

Losing Josh Cunningham would be the big blow to Bradley and to the Valley.

Sources say four more Bradley players -- Sutherland, Amerson, Morgan and Wells -- to transfer along with Cunningham and Taylor.

Can we maybe form another MVC franchise altogether? We've got what? 10 players without a home now?

I'm thinking we start another university in Topeka or Kansas City.

                        • Has anybody heard about the MVC looking into adding UAB since they recently dropped football? This article reports mutual interests. They would be a great add to the Valley, although this would most likely mean the MVC would need to add another team to make 12, right? http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2...know_what.html

                          • There is a realignment topic that is probably on the 2nd or 3rd page of topics which references that article with ensuing discussion.
