I agree. I think they wanted to pay 3 million and they went after the guy that made the most since with a $3M offer.

I also believe personality played into it as well, but if you have questions about that, you don't go over budget to get it. They made the Smart hire.

Who would want to match a crazy offer like that though? Lol. Hell, Kentucky would even blink before attempting to match it. Alabama must have a for real vision of being the football/basketball king of the SEC.. Just saying, if they are willing to pony up that kind of cash, what stops them from offering Calapari a deal?

Gregg doesn't suffer fools -- we'll see how Shaka deals with it. I really hope the boosters and Patterson just get the hell out of his way and

I don't like Calapari but he isn't stupid. He's with Kentucky until he once again goes Pro and Kentucky can afford anything they want to pay.
