Adding 4.78 per credit hour, if the 157,000 semester credit hours quoted in another thread is correct, would create an additional $1,500,000 per year.

On the other hand, $7.93 per ticket would do the same.

Based on the list of donors in 2014, the minimum donated is $7.9 million annually. The financials indicate gifts of $11.5 million, but that includes one-time gifts. Using the lower number would require an 18% increase to generate $1.5 million. That is a bit stiff.

Frankly I would rather up the SASO than the ticket price -- deductibility.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

SASO dues would, by definition, need to be applied to scholarships. If that money was put towards 3G's salary, WSU could be in trouble for misappropriation of funds.

A simple $100 increase to season ticket prices could give another $800K to $850K to the 3G retention fund bottom line, assuming somewhere between 8,000 and 8,500 seats in 10,500 seat CKA are season tickets (roughly 2,000 student seats, and I'm guessing there's a slush fund of a few hundred seats the AD keeps in their back pocket every year for player families, recruits, VIP's, etc.). Even for the cheapest season ticket in CKA, that is only about a 20% increase; much less for higher levels of SASO.

SASO funds scholarships correct? Do any of those funds go towards coaching salaries? How much of that is due to the new cost of attendance stipends?

I think maybe you're looking at something wrong. Mine went up something like $70, off the top of my head. What contribution level are you?

SASO increases are pretty much completely attributed to new COA costs, at least according to the letter sent out.

All this media, Rome, Mike and Mike, ALL this helps make WSU AND Wichita look prominent in people's eyes, especially casual fans (read: East Coast Football) that catch these shows. Paying Marshall to stay was a BIG investment in the community as a whole!

Mine went up $50 (Shocker Club) from $340 to $390, so that is just under a 15% increase. If that is across the board, then Charter Guardians and upper end Bold Gold could be seeing $400 increases.

Personally, I have no objection to a $50-100 season ticket increase.
