Ku fans sure are sensitive, and no I don't think alot of coaches still try to steal players after they commit, I'm sure Self thought because their Ku that Fred would come running and when they were turned down (because Fred is a man of his word) now kU fans can't stand that they were turned down in favor of The Best Basketball Team In Kansas...

The Rome interview was great, and I think there is a lot of mutual respect betweem coach and Rome. I really think Rome really likes Marshall and the Shocks, how he goes and gets the unhearalded players and turns them into Blue Blood beaters. Anyone who is business will listen to offers, thats just part of the business. Marshall also said he feels he has everything here to win a National Title, and that we should be better next year and have two top 100 recruits coming in next year. Really does anyone think he would leave before Ron, Fred, and Evan graduate, I for one won be astonished if he did. He's a smart man, he knows the money will be there in the future, and I think WSU can fill his pockets pretty well. We have some big money makers here that want to keep him here and keep WSU relevant and in the hunt for the big prize. We will keep getting better players and knowing we are the only show in town is also appealing to recruits, along with the fan base and the top notch facilities and how this team travels to games is second to none...

Less than a year ago on Aug. 21, first-year athletic director Steve Patterson gave Texas basketball head coach Rick Barnes a contract extension.
The two-year addition kept his salary at $2.55 million and pushed his contract through August of 2019. This extension came after a bounce-back season that saw the Longhorns return to the NCAA tournament and reach the Round of 32.
Seven months later, it’s no longer the extra years tacked onto the contract that is the most prevalent addition. Instead, the highlight now is the buyout clause that was also added when Barnes re-upped.
According to Barnes’ contract, obtained from The University of Texas through an open records request, Barnes’ buyout before April 2015 is $1.75 million. On April 1 Barnes’ buyout drops to $1.5 million and then it decreases to $1 million in April 2016 and $500,000 in April 2017.
This means if Texas decided to part ways with Barnes, it could save a quarter of a million by waiting until April 1.http://texas.247sports.com/Article/Texas-Longhorns-Examining-a-potential-Rick-Barnes-buyout-36370765Steve Patterson may have a decision to make in regards to Rick Barnes' future with the Longhorns. If so, here are the buyout details he'd look at in the coming weeks.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!
