    Simply pathetic. The KU meltdown will be something to behold. There will be a lot of Walmart t-shirt fans rethinking their entire life tonight.

    Like others, should WSU win, I will say nothing aside from good game.

      The backwards thing about posts like this is that you basically set yourself up terribly for a loss. True basketball fans up there know a loss is possible. Sure, you can say you called it in the event of a win, but what do you say if you lose?

        This post reminds me of that time KU lost to Kentucky by a larger margin than Hampton did. It reminds me of the Temple game that wasn't played at home.

                      Half the posts on the first page of phog.net are about WSU. Last I looked - there is one post on ShockerNet about KU. It's the pre-game discussion thread that exists before every game.

                      I guess a "KU fan" had to come here to start a thread about KU so ShockerNet might appear to have as much insecurity about this game as KU fans have shown on their message board.

                      It seems a bit odd, but WSU fans seem to be taking this game as "just another game", although it's a game we've been wanting a long time. KU fans seem to be taking this game as their Super Bowl. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Shox are more accustomed to being the opponent's "Super Bowl" than the 'Hawks. KU has lost 18 games in the last 2 seasons. That doesn't make a game against them anybody's "Super bowl". Shox have lost 5 in the last 2 seasons.

                      Oddly enough, it's the Shox fanbase that's looking at this as a "been there, done that" game, and it's the KU fans going "OMG! OMG! It's WSU!"

                          I'm soo glad this thread wasn't deleted. This post is the epitome of a Johnson County-bubbling, Walmart-tagging, KU t-shirt fan. If KU loses, this thread is gonna be epic. So in that regard, we appreciate the setup, Steve.

                          Also, KU fans have this weird sort of notion that only WSU fans would come on to KU boards and start insecure threads like the one above. Fact of the matter is, only the opposite has occurred. It's so funny to see the middling board over there slobber over the matchup. Again, this is just as big if not bigger for KU fan than it is for WSU fan.

                          So thank you KU fan, for a nice representation of your fanbase and as of now, the only representation of your fanbase on this board. Quite a statement about the KU brand and fandom.
