The rule says it is goaltending if the ball is over the rim "as long as it has a possibility of entering the basket." source for discussion
It seems like even you agree the ball wasn't going in. To answer your question about if we'd be talking about it the other way, maybe UCLA fans would be. I know I wouldn't. I wouldn't have thought anything of it. Like someone else said, there are putbacks and rebounds that seem more suspicious than this all the time.
If a UCLA player grabbed it a few inches above the rim and made an alley-oop out of it, I don't think they would have called offensive goal tending.
Does anyone else?"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

So here we go Kansas out to an early lead boooooooooooooooo
I am disappointed with the schedule times today most of the potential upsets are front loaded in the day only 2 real possible upsets I think for the night games from 7 PM only 2 of those 8 games have any real upset shots I think and 1 of them is a long shot so your looking at 10 seed Davidson who has an upset chance if they are knocking down 10+ 3's and then you have Albany as 14 seed who is a long shot but hey it's the Big 12 so why not dream anything is possible.
Buffalo, Valpo, NM State, UC Irvine, Wyoming all play in the early games along with Belmont and their long shot hit 15 3's and maybe you have a chance game. If there is an upset from a smaller school it be from 1 of those games most likely.
I wish Wyoming was playing a Big 5 school I hate (all of them except Kentucky and Ohio State) so I could root for them but I think I have to root for Northern Iowa there.
Then of course we have Wichita State smack dab in the middle of all these wonderful other games. Not an upset type of game but one we certainly want to see the non Power 5 school move on.2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)
2012 NFFC Online National Champion $100,000 (1872 teams)
2014 DFWC National Champion $9,250 (288 teams)
2015 RTS Fantasy Championship 2nd Place $25,000 (3120 teams)
2015 NCAA Bracketology (351 pts more than all 136 at the bracket matrix)
Kentucky Wildcats National Champions 2012 1998 1996 1978 1958 1951 1949 1948
The Ohio State Buckeyes National Champions 2014 2002 1970 1968 1961 1957 1954 1942

Also our views on this board are pretty similar (except about Kentucky and Ohio State of course) I pretty much hate all the other Big 5 schools especially the Kansas, Duke, ect of the world so we all basically root for the same teams (minus Kentucky and Ohio State of course) for the most part.2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion $200,000 (2460 teams)
