Maryland just stormed the court against Wisconsin. It was much slower and safer than the one last night.

In what world is #14 over #5 at home even an upset, much less a court-stormable upset? I mean, it's not like they even won it on a buzzer beater or won the league either. Sheesh.

Very good chance court storming is a topic on Gameday.

Tractor Tech is ripe for mocking.

Lol. There's a topic on this board about where exactly WSU students are and what they are doing, being that they aren't filling up the student section. Then there's this topic about KSU acting like brainless idiots while at games. So does this mean Ku has the best student section?

Just saw this on twitter from Mark Adams

No court storming. Period, end of story. I saw Wichita St clinch 31-0 regular season. Everybody celebrated in the stands. Respect opponents.

The second quote is funny to me, though, considering I see an avatar with the "not okay" version on here all the time.

And now to attempt to bring it BACK on topic:
Did anyone see that KWCH posted something about K-State police looking for a guy from the game last night?
Lol whoopsie. I'll get to changing that I guess. Guess I never paid enough attention. I just liked it because it was black and gold

                    Gregg says it should stop.

"Let's learn our lesson without someone really getting hurt." Shocker Coach Gregg Marshall says it's time to put an end to court-rushing in an interview you'll only see on Eyewitness News:...

Here's their story on the guy - or basically a picture of him and his "apology" - http://www.kwch.com/news/local-news/...paper/31463014

I think the picture would make for a great "caption this" contest or future meme's.

Of course, there's probably not that many people who read the guidelines.
I wrote that back when all we had available for the written word was e-parchment. I think the official stance has softened some. Of course, that's assuming the current administrator even knows we have posting guidelines. ;)

Someone sent me this - https://www.facebook.com/Exit313EMAW...37885359591721 - a KSU Facebook site with a post showing that KU fans do indeed rush courts. The comments are pretty interesting to read, but I think my favorite was the Brian Williams one :) The court storming in the video is pretty tame compared to this one from just a few years ago that was mentioned in the comments - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXTzV94VwVk

"Bumped"??????????????????? Kid took a flying run into him...

Listen...I'm old and crusty but I LIKE a good court storm(I'm SURE I'm in the 1%)on RARE occasions....but if they are out of control and danger SEEKING, then they are in fact potentially awful. It was obvious that KState was VERY ill prepared for this.

Interesting thread. I was at Hulman Center the night we clinched the regular season title in 2000. (We really haven't had many "stormable moments") The students stormed the court in celebration, but paid no attention to the opposing team. Basically, they congregated at center court and jumped around cheering, with the team and some of the coaches. I don't see a thing wrong with that.

It's always a few idiots that have to go too far and ruin a fun, memorable experience for everyone else. Why would you pay attention to the losers anyway? It's about a celebration, not a thug-fight. Points to a general decline in the civility of society as a whole.

I think I like court storming because when I was in school, we literally never had a reason to storm the court...:disgust:
