The comments are pretty interesting to read, but I think my favorite was the Brian Williams one :) The court storming in the video is pretty tame compared to this one from just a few years ago that was mentioned in the comments - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXTzV94VwVk
Exhibit A why I don’t have Facebook… I guess I’m just too damn old to deal with all the idiots.

So the kid wrote an apology letter to the school newspaper, using the "sorry, I let my emotions get the best of me" line. However, I didn't see where he gave credit to Sterling Gibbs. Plagiarist.

But seriously, kudos to the kid for taking responsibility and doing it quickly. Of course, we're left to wonder if his apologetic actions would be the same had his picture not been plastered all over the interwebz.

There is also a story going around that during pre-game warm-ups Brennan Greene was getting heckled and threw a ball into the crowd, hitting a girl in the face. He's denying it, of course. But if he did, that is like poking the hornets nest.

I can confirm that. My brother was right next to where the ball landed. It happened, about 70 minutes prior to tip, so no refs out. He didn't say anything about someone getting hit, just that it landed real close to him. I'll have to ask.

Edit: to expand a little bit, all I know so far is that Greene came out taunting the students. There was your standard run of the mill heckling, and Greene chucked the ball at the students. He then proceeded to miss his next 8 shots.

But did someone write it for him?

The kid ended up getting charged with Disorderly Conduct.

I stormed the court that day on crutches. Thankfully, the student group on the court was small enough there was open space where I could avoid getting knocked to the ground. The weirdest thing was being out there and then noticing another kid, also on crutches.

As far as court stormings in general...
Having a small student section storm the court is relatively safe.
"Slow-Motion", organized stormings like 2006 are also relatively safe.
Thousands of students flooding the court from all angles at a rate of close to 50 per second... now that needs to stop.

Good, deservedly so. And I didn't think his "sorry if I made you feel disrespected" was much of an apology. Should have been I was a dumb*** and I have no excuse. There was obvious intent and he should be charged.

One thing that hasn't been brought up, and I think needs to change, is where the KSU players ran to the scorer's table and jumped on it. Instead of the crowd heading to the center of the court like most storms it all went straight at the coaches and players. I'm surprised KSU hasn't at least owned up to that and told players that cannot happen again.

I'm not ANY kind of KU fan, but these KSU clowns are ridiculous...players AND fans...you are 14-15!!!!! You beat an average KU team...barely! And you are up on the scorers' table acting like you are something???I'll tell you who you are...the team that got thumped by 15 and 27 the week before.

I think part of this is on Weber, frankly...whiny little twerp.

Holy ****. I was that other student on crutches. I started reading your story and thought you were going all Brian Williams on me.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Okay. Assume the Shocks and UNI both win tonight and the Shockers win Saturday on a last second shot.

Will their be a court storming? Or will it be more of a join us on the court in orderly fashion to honor Tekele and Darius (I assume senior day activities will be after the game) and for a net cutting ceremony.

I recall hearing Brent and Fran mentioning the "sneakers" that were right in their faces after the game, and I don't think it was all players. What happened was not a court storming as much as a riot rush.

The article mentions Marshall has experienced "his fair share" of court storms after his teams have lost, yet I can't think of that happening once.
