I don't follow the details of RPI calculations, so here is a test question.
Which is more desireable for Big Dance seeding purposes?
a. A home win over a team with a 200+ RPI
b. A 3 point, road loss to a team with a 100 or less RPI

Truthfully, more often than not, the road loss to the top 100 team is better for your RPI than a home win over a 200+ team.
