He's pretty over-the-top with some of the stuff he says. But he's a great spokesman for the Valley and is an incredibly nice human being. Good enough for me.

@EnthusiAdams: Who was first to predict Butler Final 4, Zags #1, Mcd POY, VanVleet best PG in country, Tuttle POY candidate. If that is crazy, wacko? I am!

@EnthusiAdams: Who told you The Valley is back at MVC Media Day? #10 vs #11, enough said. Tell me I'm crazy now.

I do think Mark can be over the top with his praise of the Shockers. I take cheer, however, that he probably just pisses the hell out of any Shocker haters out there. More so than he bothers me. So, go for it Mark.

I don't mind Adams, except for the fact that he drastically overplays some aspects in an attempt to keep viewers on TV. But considering how often he calls our games where we're pummeling a team by 20+, I guess I can't hold that against him too much -- if he isn't desperately trying to keep people watching, we would probably be on a lot less.

It's funny reading some of these comments, though, especially since most just boil down to "but he likes us!" There's some ugly-high-school-girl-desperation there.

I don't really care if people like us or dislike us as long as they're unbiased about it. But I like intelligent arguments. I'm no more in favor of irrational praise than I am opposed to idiocy like Gottlieb's.

Some people just really want to be told we're pretty, though.

                  I like Adams.

Tuttle is not a player of the year candidate, though. He's darn good, but he's definitely not being considered for NPoY. In a few broadcasts, Adams has made it sound like Tuttle's got it all but wrapped up.

He is a national pundit who really knows the Valley and talks us up all day long. Why find things to complain about?

I like the way he not only is positive about our Shox but also our MVC opponent and the MVC in general.

I totally get this viewpoint and have no problem with it. I disagree with regard to preferring objectivity absolutely since we have one prominent pundit who doesn't even try to hide his overt disdain for us (Gottlieb) and another who veils it thinly (*******).

It is nice to have at least one guy like Adams to help balance the scales.

You summed up my feelings exactly. Of course he's a good guy. He just overplays stuff sometimes that makes me scratch my head.

I haven't heard that. I thought his red state (Kaminsky), blue state (Okafor), purple state (Tuttle) bit was pretty clever.

Actually, this Sunday on ESPNews, the commentators listed the 5 POY candidates and Tuttle was listed. I was mildly surprised, but it isn't that far fetched.

I stand corrected then. I hadn't seen him on a single list, even ones that had fifty names on them.

Maybe Adams even knows what he's talking about on this issue.
