Mark Adams says lots of good things about our players, our team, our coach, our fans, our city and our conference. Even when he is going games that don't involve WSU. I will take that any day over a Jeff ******* or some silly Power 5 hack that barely acknowledges our existence and downplays all of our accomplishments.
Lol of all things, this Mark Adams thing is gonna divide Shockernet.
Not really, it's about 60 to 1 in favor of Mark.
Unabashed enthusiasm and repetitive, exaggerated praise will find its occasional critic grounded in factual journalism, but in as much as other pundits beat us down, it never gets old to my ears.
Yea the bashing of someone that is in our corner and the Valley, and promotes the positives of how basketball was ment to be with college students who play basketball while getting an education is really bizzar to say the least. We need more voices like that and not the same old dribble about the power 5s and the blue bloods with all there one and dones acting like they are college student athletes.
I'm going to bump this thread one more time. I think it's ludicrious to attack one of the few good guys on this site when we get negative publicity from people like Gottlieb, Bilas, Seth Davis and more, then create a thread where we say one of the few people who are being positive about us is "horrible".
For those of you who disagree, please speak up, so I can remind you of it every time you climb some sports writers ass for criticizing us, writing us off, or saying we're overrated, either in print or their weekly ballot.
I guess I don't see Bilas in the bashing group...have I missed something?
I like how hype he gets over a solid screen. He's hilarious! But yeah, never heard nothing but praise from him concerning WSU & the Valley in general. Loved how he was hyping the UNI game this Saturday too.
I get Mark Adams and am okay with his over-the-top style. Quite frankly, I don't think he's as over-the-top as Dicky V and thank God for that.
But my favorite call yesterday was right at the end of the first half as Fred was d bringing the ball down the court as the half was ticking away.
Mark Adams: "America, I introduce you to Fred VanVleet."
Fred VanVleet: Makes a move and drops back, calmly dropping a nice 16 foot jump shot as the buzzer sounds. Just like the two of them had practiced it in pregame warm-ups. I don't think I'll ever forget that play.
