We have a winner! Obscure statement of the day!

You do remember coaches quote at halftime of our last road game on a Saturday, right?
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

A fan that actually watches Shocker games would know.

Once again, insert foot into mouth for JH4P.

            • I think it's funny how excited they're getting for the game. I'm pretty calm and chill. Just another game here. Win or lose, we'll be in first tomorrow night. Can't say the same for UNI.

I personally think the guys like the bigger tests, the most hype, the more noise, the more atmosphere, etc.

If we play our A game, we will beat their A game. Simple as that.

Not to be 'that guy', but doesn't whoever wins this game take over 1st in conference? We'd stay on top if we win, if they win we'd both have one loss, and they'd have the head to head win.

Agreed on our guys preferring the big stage though.

                • It's going to be a close game. I see the Shockers winning by 3.

I am watching this in Council Bluffs with three of my friends who are UNI alumni. Should be a fun game.

They would have the edge for the tiebreaker for now. They would still need to win at Koch to keep it though. The Shocks would get the SOS tiebreaker if they split the series.

I'm going to defer to K-State on these things. You can lose twice to the same team that you tie with, and claim a championship.

                        • Today's Eagle has us winning by 1. They have the big crowd which which will only motivate our Shocks as much as it does them. We have the better defense which usually prevails in close games. The Shocks have to Not over-penetrate because they will be waiting to slide over and flop so hard that it will demand whistles. UNI will especially try to get our 3-headed monster along with Carter in foul trouble. Seth Tuttle is a handful and a solid shooter. The Shocks are skillful at containing such players we face to a mild roar. We need to clean that glass today like never before. This game should go down to the wire but I am thinking we will pull away by 7 at the very end. Before you know it, we will play this team again in our very last Valley game here at 21st and Hillside on Sat. Feb. 28th.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
