Have watched several of UNI's games and they look like a MVC team of the past. One that is good enough to get to the tournament and win a game or maybe two if everything
goes perfectly. WSU is built to make deep runs in the tournament and compete for a championship.

UNI is well coached and they play smart but so are we and we also play smart. While recognizing anything can happen in a basketball game, in my opinion SHOX are on another level right now
and will make a statement Saturday.

UNI comes out strong, we counter. UNI hits a 3 at the 1st half buzzer (of course) to lead at half. Shocks make adjustments and free throws to take the lead in 2nd half. UNI hits two prayer 3's to send it to OT. Shocks win 62-60 in OT, Baker with 18 + 1 face shot, Wessel makes two 3's. Court storming (which is cool BTW), is postponed indefinitely.

Can't help you as far as eats or drinks or other attractions. However, depending on what your schedule is you might want to consider taking in the Indoor Track & Field Meet in the UNI-Dome in which our Shockers will be competing.

I'll give you that. Hang around for a while and you'll see that we welcome conversations with opposing fans all the time. Check through some of our old pre game threads for non con games and you may see some evidence. The people on here are not as dumb and irrational as you might think.

Where you lose me is your unwillingness to cruise with a joke amongst generally like-minded friends on here. Even UNI fans would understand and have fun with it. Do you think they don't make fun of us?

I think I read someplace or heard it possibly on Wednesdays pregame show that the track and field team wanted to go but they couldn't get tickets. I could be wrong.

My original issue with the NIU thing was just not knowing. I don't mind name calling to be honest, but I think we could come up with something funnier than NIU if you ask me. Hell, I'll ride with that whole Cougars thing.
