My take on the game:
I think we're done analyzing Fred's "slow" start.
If Big Bush is 6'11" 220 then #40 for TU is 7'4" 410 and can fly.
He's also radioactive.
We're really good.
I've never seen a team that never seems to get sped up, yet at the same time is as fast as this team is.
As good as these guys were in transition at the end of last season, they're better this year. A lot better.
They're going to have to play their best game of the year to go to 5-0.
PS We've been on the front page of ESPNMBB all day.Last edited by WuDrWu; November 29, 2014, 08:06 PM.

Fred looked great today, just hope he doesn't continue to get more banged up than he already is.
Love the way Kelly is playing, defends, helps, rebounds. It also looks like he is starting to show down a bit on offense.
Shaq looks a bit more comfortable each game.
Darius needs to stop fouling. He is too much of a beast to not be getting over 20 minutes per game. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....
.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

I, too, like Kelly's play and would like to see him with more minutes. He had the second most rebounds (and most offensive boards) today in only 12 minutes of action. Yes, he's not scoring much, but there is very little difference between him and Wessel, and Evan is starting to get posted up by bigger opponents at the 4.
Now before anyone jumps on me about Evan, I'd like to see him more at the wing. FVV, Baker, and Cotton are playing a lot of minutes and Holland is the only other player in the back court rotation. FVV, Baker/Holland, Cotton/Wessel or Holland, Baker, Cotton/Wessel are solid combinations. Wessel could play the 4 only as needed. Another thing I'd like with this is having someone with Wessel's energy and experience coming off the bench.
I really don't think starting Kelly or Shaq would be much of a drop-off from Wessel starting at the 4, particularly with all the advantages of Evan coming off the bench at the 3.

I'd also like to see Wessell getting ~ 15-20 minutes on the wing with Cotton, Baker, and VanVleet all getting ~ 30 or maybe a little less. That only leaves 10 to 15 for Holland/Henderson/Brown, but it is what it is.
In order to make the above happen though, Carter/Kelly/Morris need to be effective w/o fouling and one of Nurger/BWam need to step up their game.Livin the dream

Sound meter comes on ... crowd sorta starts making some noise. Meter goes up and down. So far so good.
Then it inexplicably flat lines while there was no discernable change in volume in the crowd. The crowd deflates immediately afterward and it gets quite quiet (the band is still playing but very quiet relative to the crowd).
Then . . .
With no change in volume, the sound meter starts increasing in volume like you would expect when they first get a crowd revved up and then it starts thumping as if it's raucus. Yet it was quiet and the volume was stable.
There's no meter! It's just a precorded graphic! We've been had!!! GET A ROPE AND TORCHES!!! WE'RE GONNA HAVE TO GO ALL FERGUSON!!! No taco joint within 5 miles will be safe!!!Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

What about the fail on all of the student tickets being available? Does the athletic department not advertise or tweet about the turn backs at all? Thus, does the general public think the only tickets are available are the ridiculous gouging jobs on Stub Hub? People other than diehard fans don't know enough to call the day before or the morning of the game and ask about turn backs yet each game this year there has been some.
Am I missing something? WTF is going on?
