The link that WSU sent out on the package deal is not complete. You need to access Sunflower travel. It looks like charter jet is half the cost and almost 1.000 is room, tickets, ground transportation and a two day pass to Wally world. Last time we flew on our own and took the ground package. Fun time and a nice place to stay. Seeing the other teams in street clothes lets you appreciate how really big they are. I decided this year to fly and make my own arrangements for hotel. I am looking at the optional Thanksgiving day meal with the team. Should be a great time. I think I started posting on SN during our first trip to the Old Spice Classic. LOL

RefChick and I will be there taking in the Florida sun for this event. Already booked our suite and did so at a happy price.

Looking forward to sitting back, watching lots of quality ball and generally doing a whole lot of nothing for the entire week.

Also looking forward to not having to prepare a big meal for ungrateful relatives coming over to eat our food, lounge around the house afterward and leave a vapor trail out the door come clean up time.

Hotel reservations made, theme park tickets purchased, bags packed. Sitting quietly by the front door waiting for late November to arrive ...... sigh

There are approximately 30 seats left for the flight (from what I was told), Southwest 737 departs Tuesday at high noon arrives Orlando at 3:40. The return flight departs at 11:55PM Sunday, arrives ICT at 1:55AM, $825. Thanksgiving meal with the team will cost around $100 per person (may be less). Time? Hopefully not 2 hours before the Shocker game. The meal will be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort. Forecast calls for Sunny and 80 degrees!

This is the original message sent out. However the land package does not include airfare. Around 1,900.00 per person. I booked a flight that leaves at 6 AM Tues and leaves Orlando the following Mon at 4 PM plus a room at a very nice place for about 1/2 of the 1,900. Thinking of renting a car and going to Tampa for a little beach time on saturday. Look forward to seeing SR and RC in Orlando.

You are the coolest aunt and uncle ever!!! Since you are staying until the following Wednesday I would encourage you to take your 11 year old to the Christmas Party they have at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Its a separate ticketed event for the evening but they do a special parade and fireworks themed around Christmas. She'll love it. We're doing it on Friday Nov. 20th. We were at the Christmas party last year at Thanksgiving (wish we'd waited a year!) and couldn't believe it was a "limited ticket" by the # of people there! So one tip, don't try to see the parade in front of the castle or on Main St. We started there and couldn't even walk it was so packed. I asked a Disney person and they said to try Frontierland, we went there and walked right up to the rope so I would definitely recommend that!

We have 7 people going, a VRBO home rented, plane tickets waiting and a car rented. All we need are game tickets. Will be going down on Thanksgiving morning and arrive at noon. Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel. The beach on Saturday and Monday and coming home on Tuesday. Saved bucks that way.
