  • Akoon-Purcell just went off for ISUr with 11 straight points. They still trail 54-53 with 3:25 left and SIU on the line
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

      • So, maybe Bradley is just kinda hot.

Some confidence from their 2nd half against us?

Maybe we could just explain the whole last week as "we went through a slump. Loyola wasn't able to capitalize. UNI did. Bradley got hot and almost did."

Yeah, I like that explanation. Hopefully it's over :)

          • Big 12 not looking so mighty today. MVC looking really bad like we're used to :)

Let's see if UNI can keep the trend going, letting the bottom half get some wins. WSU better not join the fray.

                  • final---Oklahoma State 67 KU 62. This loss is a game of interest because when Texas beats the mildcats later, our beloved Shocks will have to carry this fine State with a win tonight. It has happened before and it will happen again. KU blew a huge lead from the 1st half and could not hold the Forte-III.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

                        • 4 minutes in and the Trees have a starter on the bench with two fouls at Loyola. I'm gonna go ahead and say that bottom half team will beat that upper half team as well. Dog days of the valley.

I almost was missing this sort of thing this season. The valley had been showing such promise and I almost didn't know what to make of that.

Now we've got a solid race for Thursday forming...except it includes every team other than WSU and UNI :)
