I root against Creighton because their fans can tend to be obnoxious and usually root against us. Also we had a pretty good rivalry with them so it's fun. I don't care who is 18 in the polls right now as they are going to be very fluid for several weeks. If don't care if people want to root for Creighton for whatever reason, but the only time benefit to WSU would trump my dislike was if it was immediate and direct. Like knocking someone from an obvious seed line in February or helping us clinch the MVC title back in the day by beating a team ahead of us. It's just more fun for me to let emotion dictate my rooting interests than think only about affect on WSU (I'll pull for almost any non-BCS over BCS schools even if they are ranked near WSU except in extraordinary circumstances).

Ha that's funny! I had a discussion with a coworker the other day and he said Nurger was from a small town in KS. I said Nurger was from Estonia. He said yeah, that's right Estonia, KS. I had to explain to him that Estonia was in Europe. He didn't believe me until I showed him Nurger's bio on goshockers.com. I didn't know that Cox 22 had listed him that way so that helps me to understand where the guy was coming from on that. Funny stuff.
