What bothers me most about Shaq is his body language. Just doesn't give me that "play with hair on fire" mentality. He obviously has the skill set. Maybe he'll show it in years 3,4 and 5. Not sure that Gregg is that patient.
Zach Brown. First big signing of last year. Lots of hype. I tend to put him in my FVV category. The first half of Fred's freshman year I kept waiting for him to dazzle me. It wasn't until late that year that I started to see why Fred was thought of so highly. I have a feeling that Zach is in that same mold. The Zach we see at the end of this season will be much more pleasing to the eye.Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Kelly and Holland are in the rotation period. The rest is still TBD with Nurger, Bush, Henderson the front runners. Shaq and Glass not in the mix, Brown may redshirt. He just has to get stronger with the ball.
I realize it won't happen, but man, I think Bush could really be a hell of a two year player if he could redshirt, just to learn the game.
As far as the Frankamp conversation goes, a Henderson-Holland-Shamet-Frankamp rotation will cause the rest of the Valley to have nightmares for several years. Throw in Taylor as well sometime in that mix. Any nitwit with half a brain could tell he was better than Nude-ir Tharpe the second half of the season, yet only in an act of desperation did he get a shot in the tournament. I would be beaked (pun intended) too if I was him and this year apparently started out no differently. If its not your dad looking out for you these days, then its your AAU handler. Just the way it is now, this one just seems to be getting more attention cause its all happening locally.

I know it's just one exhibition game against the same opponent, but here's some "Fun Facts":
WSU is pre season #11 in both polls, Villanova is #12 in both.
WSU's starting 5 (all Jr and Sr) played an average of 15.5 minutes, Villanova's starting 5 (all Jr and Sr) played an average of 21 minutes.
WSU starting 5 (and only returning players) scored 47 points, Villanova's starting 5 scored 63 points.
WSU's #6 man in minutes, freshman, played 21 minutes and scored 16 points with 0 TOs, Villanova's #6 man (All Rookie Big East last year) played 25 minutes and scored 5 points with 4 TOs.
WSU's 1st 12 players all played more minutes than Villanova's #9 man.
WSU's bottom 3 players (all walk-ons) played 6, 5, 5 minutes for a total of 16 minutes, Villanova's bottom 3 (they only played 13) 4, 4, 3, for 11 minutes.
WSU won 112-55, Villanova won 93-50.

So glad to be back in Koch. I know we only played some glorified high school team (coached by an NCAA Championship winner), but wow. We're good. Damn good. And we have some incredible depth. Last year, it seem like we'd lose a 20 point lead rather quickly with the subs in. This time the lead doubled up with them in. Holland was a machine gun out there. Pop, popopopopop, pop, pop pop. Baker is just so smooth and makes things seem so effortless.
First time in a while I've seen that large of a crowd for an exhibition game. Crowd got into it with those pregame videos, EW's 3, and other bench contributions. Really fun day. We have some nice problems to figure out.
Can't wait til Friday night.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
