What if Ben Christiansen had not thrown so accurately?"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I have a "what if" for you. It has been tearing at my gut, since it happened.
I have it on video. I will get it and come back to you.
Okay. I found it. I almost hate reliving the experience.
It is the game against Kentucky in the 2014 NCAA Championship Tournament. It is the second half with 6:58 remaining. The score is 60-57 in favor of the Shockers. Kentucky has the possession. Kentucky sets up on the Shocker end. The Shocks play very tough defense. Very tough. The clock is running down. The ball is on the perimeter and the Kentucky left side. The clock winds down to under five seconds. The ball is passed to #2, Aaron Harrison, near left corner. With a Shocker defender in his face, Harrison cranks up a prayer shot from three foot behind the 3-line with three seconds to go on the clock. As Gus Grebe might say, "It is off the boards and through the cords."
I felt like a dagger pierced my heart.Last edited by Ricardo del Rio; August 3, 2014, 05:02 PM."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

What if on Sunday March 20th, 2011 I had decided to stay home and watch the 11:00 am EST live broadcast of the NIT 2nd Round game against Virginia Tech instead of going to church and watching the game later on replay without knowing the outcome of the game. Well I will tell what would have happened. As result, God punishes me by allowing for a rip to occur in the space time continuum and Joe Ragland’s layup with 2.6 seconds left in overtime bounces soft off the front of the rim and Virginia Tech wins. No NIT Championship, followed by NCAA invite the next year, no final four the following year, no UNDEFEATED season the next year and Coach Gregg Marshall is enjoying his fourth 31+ season at Texas A&M.
