I read an article in the past where some of the euro pro-leagues were shady when it came to contracts. Players weren't paid on time, or a portion of their salary was paid back to the team. Hard to know if that was the situation here, but it wouldn't surprise me if meals were part of the contract, but it was three helpings of Raman noodles or something.

You would think that is what an agent is for, to know and head off some of those issues.

I know I read that Cle had gone vegan recently. Maybe he was making dietary demands the team wasn't willing to work with and moved on. I hope for the best for him but it's hard to be too optimistic.

Cle's still a good player and can make a career oversees. That said, this isn't the NBA and if he wants to play and make money he probably has to lower his expectations.
