Mizzou Alum here. I just need to say, I'm really disappointed with all the trashing of MU on this forum. We're no where near rivals, yet, because many of our fans are hoping (can you blame us?) to entice your coach to lead our program, our name, our AD and our school has been drug though the mud on this forum during the last week. FWIW, during the last few tourneys, all of my fellow Mizzou friends and alums were pulling for your program. And while, I don't think many of us think we have a chance in hell to get Marshall you can't fault us for hoping, can you? Maybe instead of mocking us for this desire, you could take it as a compliment and display some class.

Also, you all seem smart enough to know what a cesspool TigerBoard is. No MU fan with any self-respect goes there. Rather, check out RockMNation.com for some level-headed, and mostly positive discussions of Mizzou Athletics.

MizzRobbie, I think you are being a little too sensitive about some here trashing MU. A lot of things are said "tongue in cheek" so re-read some of the post with that in mind and you might see it a little differently.

However, when one of your own starts a thread titled Marshall to Mizzou? - expect to be trashed. I'm sure I/WSU would be trashed on Tigerboard for the same type of thread.

If I were you, I would be more upset about settling for a D2 coach - if that happens.

MU is a fine school and Columbia is a great city. Good Luck! in the future.

Does it matter? Nobody was on FVV or Ron Baker. Next year they will be the best starting back court in the country.

If it makes you feel any better, he was recruited by a bunch of crappy SEC teams out of high school, so we probably are reaching a little above our heads with this signing.

I didn't realize an MU fan had started the thread. I didn't look that closely. I just assumed this was a new thread jumping off the "Auburn" one that started a while ago. I saw a good bit of trashing there as well and to be honest I was (perhaps naively) surprised.
