Marshall to Mizzou?

I looked up youcaring.com after I saw SB's post, and somebody is definitely trying. Is this the same Truman the Tiger, or are there two mad dreamers in Missouri?

Apart from his needing to proofread more carefully, one other thought comes to mind: what happens when Missouri doesn't hire Marshall and picks someone they can actually get? Do the donors get their money back, or does the guy who started the effort get to keep it? If the latter, I may start an online fund raiser myself -- where else can Marshall squeeze in a coaching gig? Hey, what the heck -- I'm a dreamer, too. Yeah, that's it: I'm a dreamer, and I want your money.

rumor on Twitter is that Kim Anderson will be named the new Head Coach for Mizzou in the morning

Very strong likelihood the Anderson hire will leak today. I have been told though that there likely won't be any sort of announcement today. They want to own the day with the news conference and the Cards and Blues both have big games in St. Louis tonight.

Mizzou Alum here. I just need to say, I'm really disappointed with all the trashing of MU on this forum. We're no where near rivals, yet, because many of our fans are hoping (can you blame us?) to entice your coach to lead our program, our name, our AD and our school has been drug though the mud on this forum during the last week. FWIW, during the last few tourneys, all of my fellow Mizzou friends and alums were pulling for your program. And while, I don't think many of us think we have a chance in hell to get Marshall you can't fault us for hoping, can you? Maybe instead of mocking us for this desire, you could take it as a compliment and display some class.

Also, you all seem smart enough to know what a cesspool TigerBoard is. No MU fan with any self-respect goes there. Rather, check out RockMNation.com for some level-headed, and mostly positive discussions of Mizzou Athletics.

I don't know about RockMNation.com but why don't you save you speech for the TigerBoard and clean up that mess before you come here preaching about "trashing". I don't think we are dragging MU's name through the "mud" here on this board, go to phog.net if you you want real smack. Most of what has been posted is our response from regurgitated nonsense from post from MU fans. I think we have been pretty mild on MU compared to the UT.

Yeah, it sure is neat that WSU and Wichita aren't getting trashed by all the upstanding MU fans on their boards.

Oh, wait... I almost forgot... they actually are, only in far more voluminous quantities than what you are seeing from us.

The contempt from our end is the fact that your school has quite literally never done anything of great significance in a major sport, so MU fan trash talking on WSU - a school that athletically eclipses MU in a number of historical contexts - makes about as much sense as wiping one's rear before making a download.

Like someone else has said recently on this forum, this experience has made us appreciate the KU fan take on MU fan, and if you knew what it took for WSU fan to appreciate anything about KU fan you would know that is essentially unheard of. Understand we have the same opinion of KU fan as you do.
