  • The worst part is that SIU is going to lose 4-5 games, if not more, against that schedule.

    • Whenever you see New Orleans on a team's schedule, you know they aren't attempting to have quality opponents.

      • Their bus is getting pretty old, so their trying to keep the mileage down. Kent is their long trip, but they get to play 3 games there. The other 4 roadies are 50, 100, 100, and 200 miles away.

        • I disagree you shouldn't schedule down like that. That's a terrible schedule. I sure hope they don't pay the DOBO much.

Sadly they have 7 games with 13/14 RPIs that are worse than New Orleans. Just another example of why we need out of the MVC.

              • Isn't Dana Ford the head coach at Tenn. State now?

Eff their fanbase. They were unbearable when they were good.

2-years ago they played a really bad New Orleans team twice winning both games by an average of 20 points. Apparently, they liked that, although Tennessee State may be a step up from the New Orleans team.

                      • Back in the Sixties (Ralph Miller / Gary Thompson vintage), WSU used to play some non-league teams twice in a season. They played BYU back-to-back in Provo one year, then turned it around and played them back-to-back in Wichita a couple of years later; they also played a home and home series in the same season several times against future conference foe -- who knew? -- Loyola (Chicago). I still remember thinking how unusual the Ramblers' jerseys looked with the outsized numerals they had, presumably so they could be seen clearly in big arenas.

Of course, BYU and Loyola (that era's Loyola, anyway) weren't exactly Tennessee State or New Orleans -- those were games you wanted to have on your schedule for their quality, not for ease of winning: i.e., what would now be known as good RPI games.

Read their posts on St Louis being selected again. Most of their fan base still is unbearable.

Great topic. It starts out as WSU bashing, then transforms into how the MVC is 100% reliant on WSU and SIU needs to look at the MAC, OVC, or Sun Belt. It's like they don't even realize how stupid they are while they're talking about how stupid they are.

Wow, what a bunch of moronic blowholes. I guess whether you're good or the laughing stock of the Valley, you can't fix stupid.
