Bush and Simon look like a couple of guys they grabbed out of the stands and put a uniform on them. Unfortunately they have about the same skill level. Simon came in with 6:48 left. From that point on MSUs bench warmers beat ours 14-4. He must have some great blackmail material on somebody. I do love how he tries to look so cool while he commits his 3 turnovers per minute.

Wichita State hasn’t shrunk from the moment one iota. In fact, it somehow appears to have grown even stronger. The Shockers blew the doors off Missouri State 67-42 in Saturday’s semifinals at the Scottrade Center. In their first two tournament games here, they’ve won by a total of 47 points.

Some of their spurts against Missouri State would have made those old Runnin’ Rebels proud. Wichita State went on a 17-0 run during the first half and then eclipsed that with a 24-0 blitzkrieg during a nine-minute second-half span.

We had three wins by 20+ in our first twenty-eight games.

Each of the last five wins have been by 20+.

JR does have some great connections with some great Shocker supporters which has been detailed here in the past. From all accounts he is a very fine young man. When he arrived late in the game (I think it was on Senior night) after returning from attending his best friend's funeral in OKC you could see his teammates love him.

Zach probably should have stuck with Washburn and I am not real sure about his reasons for wanting to walk-on but again his teammates seem to love him.

Neither of these guys were recruited to be key in-game contributors. We won the game by 25 points. I don't see Coach Marshall and the team hanging their heads about not be able to run up the score. We got our key players out of harms way and gave them some nice rest. All is good.

I don't think I have ever seen a basketball with better team chemistry than this Shocker team and J.R. and Zach are an integral part of that fabric.

If that's a big problem for you @Zubcut than so be it. You are entitled. But IMHO that casts more of a shadow over you than it does over J.R. and Zach.
