It will be interesting to see, if we continue to play Balentine straight up or provide some help to the primary defender.

When he is running through multiple picks, it seems that most of the time, he is running from left to right.

It wll be interesting to see, if Tekele will guard him or will it be Baker.

I heard or read somewhere that Baletine did not score in the last 11 minutes of the last game or only scored a few points in the last 11 minutes of the last game. Does anyone have any information about this subject?

I still have nightmares about Colt Ryan in EU game at Koch last year. I just hate it, when one guy beats us.

He scored all 14 first halfpoints in the first 10:51.
Except for a jumper with 2:51 left, all his 12 second half points points came in the first 11:33 of the second half.

I don't think that either Evansville game last year was a situation of one guy beating us, in spite of big scoring by Ryan.

In Wichita, Ryan scored 29, but Evansville only scored 59. The problem that game was not our defense, it was our offense. Allowing 59 points should be plenty to win, we just couldn't score at all.

In Evansville, Ryan scored 24 (5 less point on 1 more shot than in Wichita), but Evansville scored 71. The problem that game was not letting Ryan score, but the fact that Evansville had 3 guys in double figures plus two guys with 9 and 8 points. Our defense was the problem this game, but not because we let one guy beat us. If you took WSU's top two scorers this game (Armstead and Early), they had 37 points on 18 fg attempts. Evansville's top two scorers (Ryan and Taylor) had 36 points on 26 fg attempts.

As I recall, the Shockers had 40+ personal fouls and turnovers in the game at Evansville. I believe it was about 43 in total.

Never mind. I looked it up. The Shockers had 24 personal fouls and 22 turnovers for a total of 46.

          Gawd.

The team was practicing in Koch this afternoon. Sports Illustrated was there prior to practice taking pics.

Please let's hope it is not for a cover shot.

Let's take care of business and pound the hell out of these chumps.

the guys should be super pissed. I would be after what I see in the media. No you can't focus on what the media says but at the same time it should ignite a fire in them.

EU hit their first 48 shots against us last game. Otherwise, we would have won that game handily.

We are rested. Van Vleet will resemble the Van Vleet that went 5 or 6 games without a turnover and Cleanthony will restake his POY claim. He would have last game, but got in foul trouble.

Not saying its a cakewalk, but....

There is just no damn good reason for this game to be close.

Might end up being a sell out in E-ville. Who woulda thunk it?

For as much as we have to listen to people saying we aren't "liked" we sure are good for the Valley. I don't expect people to be bowing down or anything, but from a business standpoint, it would be nice to get a few high fives for all the tickets we are selling. If we keep this up for a few seasons, we might help this conference really get back on its feet again with fan bases and ticket sales :)

I'm interested in just how much money we've brought the MVC schools this year, strictly off ticket sales. Evansville is basically getting a 7k bump in attendance today. Combine that with our NCAA tourney units and we're funding every single school in this conference.
