Good Game
Great game tonight, I have to hand it to your team. We played a great game; yeah we missed a lot of FTs but your defense was equally responsible for you guys walking away with the W( If not more so). As a recent graduate this is definitely one of the top 2 games I have ever attended at the Hulman Center. Knocking down Creighton last year and holding Dougie to 8 gets the top spot, but barely. We also set the school record for student attendance tonight at 2,100. Once again great game, and great win your team deserved it.
P.S.

Game of the Night: Wichita State has just enough to hold off Indiana State.
The Shockers led pretty much for the entire game. Indiana State made it closer near the end. But a 3-point play by Cleanthony Early -- who led the Shockers with 19 points -- to make it 61-56 was the deciding play down the stretch. Chadrack Lifile hit some big free throws down the stretch to secure the W.
Many people looked at this game as the toughest test for WSU in its conference slate. Indiana State is the second-best team in the Valley this year, so the thought was, if ISU couldn't win, who could? It still remains possible, but the odds are ever, increasingly, in the Shockers' favor in getting to the end of the regular season without a loss.
Ultimately, the Shockers deserved this win, too. If you're rooting for WSU to get to the end of the season, you've gotta be happy in how Greg Marshall's team is doing this. The wins are convincing and this team looks more and more like a Final Four threat.
Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

I think it's very interesting that Coach Marshall's numbers are so similar to Coach Boeheim's in the first 15 seasons, considering Boeheim's career has been exclusively with Syracuse.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

RPIforecast says the Sycs RPI would be 49.7 heading into Arch Madness if they lose 1 more, 41 if they run the table. Either result + making the finals in St. Louis probably gets er done.

Is anybody else completely sick of these Valley TV announcers? It's getting to the point where muting is becoming the only option to save my sanity. No offense to Odum who is a good player, but at one point they called him one of the greats of the Valley (referenced him on some random combination of stats compared to Oscar Robertson and Bird) and that's just an insane claim to make

It's funny reading on every Valley team's message board we play and hear about it being the best atmosphere in the history of their existence, it was the loudest ever at their arena, we can build on this, etc., etc.
Unfortunately for these teams, most of the fans are there to see the opposition, not their own teams. That's why nobody else shows up in non-WSU games.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.
