Get over it? LOL, yeah, seems pretty simple, doesn't it? Sure doesn't bother you since you're NOT affected by the problem. And I do watch it on illegal sites. I did tonight. But I prefer games that didn't require plug ins to the tv in order for it to get them on there. But again, it doesn't effect you, so it's not a problem, right?

Great mindset at the end there. We're no Duke, no Kansas. We're just ranked above them. That's all.

Keep your expectations on the program set at a mid-major level there, champ.
    I must be drunk.

You think the problem is we deserve more exposure.

I think the problem is you have AT&T, and like the guy who doesn't want the MVC Tourney moved because it is easier for him to go to in St. Louis, you want something that benefits you.

I get it. It sucks that it costs you more money to watch the games because of a choice you made to not want to do business with Cox. But WSU has chosen to partner with them. ESPN/MVCTV/FOX get first choice of games. We all want those to pick up more games, but fact is the viewership isn't there. Ever check the numbers for the teams we are ahead of in the polls? They get ratings. That is what makes stations money. Not the number next to their name.

We all want to move beyond the non-BCS loophole. Fact is most teams have the same issue we do. Flordia, LSU, Kansas State, Alabama, San Diego State, Michigan State, and others all have the same issue. Very few teams have ALL of their games available readily easy for their fans without additional packages like Shockervision or local cable programming.

Jesus Christ, DSB, you are totally off your f*cking rocker and are being totally delusional right now.

Here is what I WANT. I WANT EVERYONE in Kansas to be able to watch WSU basketball, NOT just a select group of people from ONE cable provider. How the **** are you not seeing this? Do you not understand that the majority of people are NOT being benefited from the Cox games? You have UVerse, Directv, Dish, etc, etc that CANNOT watch these games and then there's the one provider Cox where you can. It's not like everybody else can watch the games and UVerse is the outlier. Cox IS the outlier here. Cox or nothing. And we're the spoiled mother*****? LOL.

And you're going to have to STOP with the "more money" fabrications you're spewing. It does NOT cost more money to watch Cox. I have no ****ing idea why you think I don't have Cox because of a money thing. Uverse is right in line with Cox prices, maybe a slightly less expensive, which is what anybody would want. I have UVERSE because Cox puts out a SUCKY product. Their internet SUCKS. It goes in and out. It's cable SUCKS. It would go out roughly every month and do its moronic updates every few weeks which would interrupt tv service for a half hour. It's service SUCKED. Why the hell would I want to get rid of WSU games when I had Cox? I got rid of it because the service SUCKED. I'm not going to put up with shitty SERVICE and pay the SAME amount of money when I could switch to ATT and get flawless, uninterrupted service that wouldn't make me want to throw things every 2 weeks. I have not had ONE single problem with Uverse since we got it 3 years ago. I have not had to make ONE phone call at all. Contrast that with the phone calls that had to be made to Cox at least every 2 weeks just to fix a BS internet or tv problem that would CONSTANTLY come up.

So once again, it was not a MONEY thing. It was a QUALITY thing. And the fact that that POS company is the only way to watch select WSU basketball games is asinine.

So how long have you worked for Cox? You're a poor representative of your company, but par for the course.

You don't have to have Cox in order to watch any of the games on KS22. All you have to do is go to one of the many sports bars in town that are showing the games.

So I have to leave my house? How convenient.

It's fun to do so on weekend games anyways, but I don't feel like going out to sports bars on Tuesday and Wednesday nights when I just as easily could watch from home.

Once again, Cox customers have priority. But of course, everybody else are the spoiled ones.

I thought you were the one that "Just keeps it real".

Guess what, everyone in the state getting to see the game no matter the provider would be great. I would LOVE that.

I think it sucks that everyone can't watch WSU whenever and where ever they chose.

Your hatred for Cox is blinding your rationale. Don't you think WSU wants the same thing? Don't you think every supporter of WSU wants the same thing?

The simple fact is this is better than it was. Hopefully it gets better. If we continue on the road we are on, hopefully it will. I enjoy the fact I can watch the games on ESPN3. I'm sorry you and others can't. @RoyalShock: in Buhler doesn't have a choice to watch it. Even what he gets to see sucks. But if you ask his choice between the two, I bet he would take the crappy version versus nothing.

At the end of the day, you can call me out all you want. I'm just being like my idol, @ShockerFever:, spewing the truth whether you like it or not. This is our board, and no one is joining in this discussion on your side with the hatred you are. @ABC: subscribes to get the games.

I hope all those Shocker supporters are frequenting the advertisers that they see on the broadcasts. When you do, mention you saw the ad on the Shocker game. Thank them for being a Shocker supporter. Encourage others you frequent to support the Shockers. If Neilson calls you, fill out that you watched the Shockers on TV. That will increase advertisers. Then, and only then, do we have a shot at replacing the viewers and money CBS makes from 7-9 in primetime. The number of viewers that acknowledge they watch the Shockers will have to outnumber the ones of those who complain they have to wait until 1 am to watch Survivor.

It's so simple, and I'm sorry you can't see it.

You are saying anything but the truth. You're blinded by your love for your employer, Cox. See, I can play this game too.

No one's joining the discussion because it's midnight. And actually @Speed was on my side. So there! See, I can play this game too.

It's so simple to understand that the entire fan base would be able to benefit from an over-the-air channel partnership, rather than a channel that is only viewable by ONE cable provider. See, I can play this game too.

It's so simple, it's stupid. You're either drunk or stupid. Or maybe both.

The logic of this argument would also make games broadcast on ESPN unfair because they exclude access to those people without cable/satellite. Sure, there are more people with access to ESPN than Cox 22, but if it is unfair that people who pay for a specific tv service have access to it and those who don't pay do not have access, it applies just as much to ESPN as to Cox 22.

I am certainly willing to listen to a discussion about what broadcast options might be available that could expand access to the games, but the outrage seems over the top to me. When I have been without cable in the past I have been frustrated at missing out on games on cable channels, but I never thought that I was being wronged because I didn't have access.

I get the whole Cox thing. Really I do. I don't live in Wichita, haven't for a bit. But That was a struggle for me for a while.

My question is.. how does the ESPN3 thing work? I had a buddy tell me that he was able to watch ESPN3's feed tonight.. And he has Uverse in Wichita. I don't live in Wichita, as I said. So I obviously LOVE ESPN3. LOVE IT. Works well, HD, I have an Apple TV btw. But does ESPN3 work like MLB TV where it knows where I am watching from? Or does it work through where your subscription is from? Doesn't make any sense to me, btw, that Missouri is blacked out. So you can't watch in St. Louis, but can in Tulsa? What?

I'm just waiting to be called a Creighton fan, and told to get off your board.

You must work for AT&T. See I can play that game too. I just explained my desire to have the whole fan base to be able to watch whenever and where ever they want. Is that so hard to comprehend?

One cable provider, that also allows fans across the country to watch the games, but doesn't offer to everyone locally is the only option at this point. If it weren't, why in the world would it be so? Is that so hard to comprehend?

In the end, we are both stupid. Nothing we say can change the situation. And we both want the same damn thing. The only difference is you don't see the progress we have made to the solution, just criticize everyone for not having it yet.

Patience. I believe that I will be sitting in a bar enjoying a Saturday game in Baton Rouge most of the rest of the season. And it will be on AT&T, Dish, and DirecTV to go along with Cox. Then we can join together against the real stupidity in the world, like Creighton fans and Doug Gottleib.

An over-the-air station still allows you to watch it without cable, which is really the discussion right now. If and when we ever get to a point of having too many ESPN games, then your post would be valid. But really, what is the percentage of people without cable/ESPN. That isn't even a valid comparison number wise to the amount of people that don't have Cox. Come on, TMH.

Your last couple of paragraphs I actually agree with, lol.

The thing is 10 years ago our local fans were in much better position than we are now to watching WSU games. When the games were on KWCH, everybody had access to them, not just a Cox or a UVerse, or a DirectTV.

If I had an option with UVerse to pay additional monies for WSU games, I would do it in a heartbeat. But to single out specific cable companies for games is just downright dirty IMO. I don't even have the option with ATT to pay more for WSU games. But I also shouldn't have to go through the whole ordeal of switching providers (even though that's what Cox wants) and suffer through what I feel is an inferior product just to watch WSU basketball games. I should be able to choose whatever provider I want and then have the option to view or not view WSU games. Then the fan base isn't excluded like it is now. Even kansas.com has an article about this very issue where complaints have been made about the tv coverage. (I can provide a link if you wish)

Cox people are gonna think this argument is stupid because they have Cox and they can watch ALL the games. Everybody else, I would assume, would think this agreement is stupid are probably frustrated at having to probe through illegal sites or leave their homes to watch basketball games.

In the end, I agree, we both want the best for WSU. I would hope you will be able to see the light some day, perhaps the day when Cox loses rights for games to some other singular provider.

But you don't have to dump AT&T to get Cox. Many have both the last few years during Basketball season. I was one before I moved.

Just have them install a coax to your living room, subscribe to the basic package while keeping your main package with AT&T. Costs you about $20 a month for 4 months. Then cancel it. It has worked for myself and MANY other people.

No I fully understand how the whole thing works.. My provider gets it. I can watch it.

My issue is, how do they determine who can watch on ESPN3 in what areas... As I said. My buddy with Uverse, who lives in Wichita, and watched the game in Wichita last night said he could watch it on ESPN3.. Can anyone else verify this?

Second issue.. Does it know where I am watching from? Like if I tried to login to my ESPN3 account from Wichita, could I have watched last night? The blackout thing is what confuses the hell out of me.
