Yep, this and getting snubbed by the AP plays right into HCGM's playbook. The one thing that kills a team that's playing well is complacency. As long as the national media keep questioning our legitimacy, the angrier the Shox will get. If they lay an egg tonight in Normal, then the national media has something to crow about.

That's not the point. The Shocks haven't gone 23-0 yet either.

All of WSU and Murray St's OOC schedule is very comparable. Also, this year, the MVC is a weak conference, so was the OVC (just worse). Murray St was penalized for that single conference loss becoming a 6 seed. If the Shocks happen to lose a single game, they won't get dropped like that due to the better conference (and also, right or wrong, because of last years F4 performance).

The team's have comparisons. I think each team's situation is more of the comparison than the actual comparing of the teams. Frankly, if the Valley was better this year, his comment wouldn't have even been said.

Jeff Goddman was on the SVP show this afternoon. He was asked about Wichita State and stated that "they are not the 4 or 5th best team in the nation". He went on to say that we are a product of our schedule. We are the Murray State of a few years back. FU *******.

In 2011-12 Murray State 31-1, playing in the 3rd round (32 teams left) of the NCAA Tournament and was winning 46-45 with 6:00 minutes to play for the opportunity to advance in the Sweet 16.

This is the same as being ranked 4th from last year's Final Four. Louisville was tested more against WSU than in the Championship game. And WSU played through the toughest path to get there.
I still say conference is an issue. But they greater issue is no TV.
