WSU VERSUS ILLINOIS STATE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS.
Welp, Redturd players are already calling for the win. Yep, just keep giving us ammo.
And LOL at Illinois State competing at our level now or in March. These idiots are so full of themselves.
I seriously want about a 50 point smashing that'll leave Danny Boy's carcass whimpering on the ground. I want our starters in the full 40 and absolutely DESTROY these wannabes.
Illinois State - where Loyola joining the Valley saves you from having the Valley's longest NCAA drought.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Looking at the ISU highlights on offense, it looks like they have high assists because they make a lot of 3's which are often catch-and-shoot so have an assist credited. Other than stats related to three-balls, not much to say about the Turds.

This should be a 24 point margin of victory. But with 48 seconds left, GM pulls his starters and JR Simon proceeds to play like he's 6'6" and drives the lane only to get a called charge or breaks the back board with bricks and ISU subsequently gets the margin down to 19.
We should destroy their 4 guard lineup. If you're going to run a 4 guard lineup, they better be hella athletic and fast. We won't have to worry about that. Unless they shoot 50 percent from three, the game won't be close.

He will pull the starters with 96 seconds left and the final margin of victory will be 14... :bball_spin:
My prediction: John Robert, Zach and Derail make it into the game with more than four minutes to go.
JR so far has proven to be a two trick pony:
1. Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble - drive to the basket and draw a foul..
2. Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble - drive to the basket and commit a turnover (in style)...
For this game he needs to:
3. Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble - feed the ball to DG or Zach and let them launch threes.... higher percentage shot than options 1 or 2...

I don't really care if the reserves score or not, but I would like to see them at least make an effort to run our normal offense and show just a very minimal amount of BBIQ. I could care less if JR ever scores another point but I would love to see him get an assist.
That said I hope JR gets in every Shocker game during the remainder of this season.
Don't understand why all the criticism of Simon. Its hard to judge any player when he gets very limited
opportunities in games that have already been decided. Has anyone watched him in team scrimmages?
One could cherry pick a few minutes of any player and draw a negative conclusion. Aside from maybe
Fred what player hasn't had a few ugly moments? Simon hasn't had a legitimate opportunity for anyone
to judge him yet. I give him credit for being there and making others better by participating in scrimmages.
If he wasn't good enough to be an asset to the program I don't think he would be a part of the team !

Why does anyone care what Simon plays like? He is a walk-on and only plays when the game is out of reach. He sits and watches the first 38 to 39 minutes of the game, then goes from spectator to player in an instant. Sure he could do better, but it is of no consequence.

As one of the folks commenting on JR's play, I can only say for myself that it was meant in jest and in good fun. Should have used some emoticons with my comments. In all seriousness, I agree with your comments above.
