The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Also, Omar Sherman might be scratching his head as well. Miami is down 49-46 with 4:14 left to.......St. Francis (NY).

Make that a 66-62 St. Francis win. Ouch.

Either KSU fans have zero basketball IQ or the arena was full of crickets because there was zilch sound being made in the Octagon of Gloom when UNC were shooting free throws down the stretch. That was rather satisfying to watch.

On the bright side, we don't have to worry about hurting our RPI by playing KState.

William and Mary's loss was surprising. I expect them to be more competitive next week.

I watched some of the VCU ISU game. It really wasn't a fair fight. Cultures vs individuals. A really good coach vs a not so good coach. Discipline vs not. One thing about ISU is that they have some physical ability but on the other hand I suspect they, and their fans, realize that D1 defense is a little different than Quincy or what they've been facing in practice.

As far as Lee is concerned, I can see why there is optimism. The rest of the team was so bad it was easy for him to stand out. In fairness, he did seem willing to compete defensively. No doubt that stands out for this ISU team. I'd be willing to give him a pass on the 9 turnovers....Briante Weber is a special player defensively and Lee had no help both in the form of willing players, or preparation from the coaching staff.

Never underestimate experience, culture and defense.

I actually felt sorry for KSU based on their crowd and atmosphere. Pretty odd crowd given they are coming off a Big 12 championship.

Kansas 27 ULL 31 (personal fouls)
KjSU 22 UNC 28 (personal fouls)

                Last season average
                KU 16.8 Opp 18.4
                KjSU 18.0 Opp. 15.2

Very small sample size, but 108 fouls compared to last season's average of 68.4, increase of 57%!

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

Just looked at Colorado Baylor, 21 and 23 fouls.

Sounds more respectable, but still up 29% from the KU/KjSU averages from last season.

I didn't think KU committed fouls in AFH. Who knew?

77 FT attempts on 53 fouls in the Murray ST-Valpo game last night, was rough to watch with all of the foul trouble. Also the game lasted 2 hours 12 minutes (slightly longer than usual).

What do you mean. They had 12,004 in attendance. That would be a sell out.

KSU is notorious for having high 'paid' attendance versus actual butts in the seats. There was a distinct difference between the two last night.

Drake up 60-59 with 21 seconds left, shooting FT's. Carter has 38 of their 60.
