Agh. Bad rumor? He's already torn up the D league.

It could be a situation similar to what a major league baseball team will do with a young player who's probably better than the veteran 4th outfielder, but not quite starting material yet. Rather than have him idle on the bench day after day, send him to AAA to play everyday.

As I understand it, by NBA rules teams have an active roster size of 13 players and a total roster of 15 players. This means that 2 of the players on the team will be listed at inactive any given week. At times, injured players will take those inactive slots. When the inactive slots are not being filled with injured players, the inactive players can be assigned to play in the D-League. In other words, Toure has made the Knicks roster, but will still have to earn his way onto the active roster. Should injuries hit, however, he could quickly be called to take one of those active roster slots. In the meantime, the D-League gives him chances to keep getting experience.

Ironically Aldrich appears to need the work more than Toure, however the Knicks are short on longs and long on shorts. Somehow that makes sense.

                • Over the long 82 game NBA season,Toure will get plenty of playing time as unfortunately injuries (hopefully minor) will happen.

He will get his chance to show his worth and gain invaluable experience.

                  • I'm not a fan of the NBA. Haven't watched much since Antoine, Cliff and X hung it up. Pretty sure I'll be watching some games this year though. Coungratulations Toure. You had the will and you found a way.
