Joe Lapchick played for the Celtics, coached the New York Knicks, and was head coach at St. John's where he won a couple NIT titles (when NIT was THE tournament).
He hires Louis Carnesecca as an assistant who eventually takes over the head coach position at St. John's.
He hires John Kresse as an assistant. (John also played for Joe Lapchick at St. John's.) Kresse ends up taking the head coaching gig at College of Charleston.
John Kresse hires Gregg Marshall as an assistant who eventually lands the Winthrop and WSU gigs.
Gregg Marshall coaches Toure Murry who ends up being the first Shocker player to wear an NBA uniform in too many years, and for what team? Why Joe Lapchick's old team, the Knicks, of course.Last edited by Kung Wu; October 8, 2013, 11:17 AM.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
