How much could it cost to just create 2 or 3 radio stations in Western KS? Power them up during games? Im not edumacated on the inner workings of radio, but I cant imagine there are too many signals to compete with. I know its prolly a ***** to deal with FCC crap, tho.

You're still trying to put WSU basketball into KSU country. Baker opens the possibility of doing that, but I'd bet that if there's a conflict between broadcasting a WSU game or a KSU game, that the KSU game gets the air time. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

From where I'm sitting, this is all about being able to pay HCGM more in the short-term, hoping that we eventually get into a conference with a TV deal as the long-term solution.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

Hays, Great Bend, Garden City, even a Salina station would help going west. Those communities have several stations. Heck, I remember listening to 2 different broadcasts of a Great Bend football game by two competing stations. Going east, there are fewer multi station communities except up on the I-70 corridor. And I don't doubt that their signal map is a little off as far as clarity goes. Which is why having overlapping areas would be a good thing. I may even check the Ark City/Winfield area see if that would be an option. I know I have no power but it's fun to think about having a network of stations carry the Shox. And it's a good way to kill time when I'm not busy at work.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Some of our more elderly fans probably prefer the radio to trying to figure out their phone/PC and how to get it. Did I mention people traveling by car?

I always forget not everyone has unlimited data anymore, though. I will cling onto that as long as possible.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'
