CU should have this one by at least 20.

    mr. negativity once again.
How is that negative? We suck at Creighton even when we were good. It may be different with a new coach but not with the team we have this year.

      RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking

We'll be down by 1 with 3 seconds left. HCGM will call a timeout and Matt will stand up, rip his suit off and take the inbound pass with enough time to throw the pass for a Cous dunk. As the backboard shatters Ehime will appear in the vistor tunnel and say "I may be a little late this time but wait til next year, b***h." Ok so maybe:
        55-65 the bad guys.

Josh Young is not a better freshman than godPgod
In fact he is not a freshman at all.
Let's see ... I said Josh Young is a better player than P'Allen Stinnett. I didn't say Josh was a freshman because he is a sophomore.

We are probably going to lose at Creighton, with or without P'Allen playing. If we want a post-season, we need to win the Valley tourney. In this case, Drake is the biggest obstacle for us. Josh Young is the best player in the MVC; I don't think Stinnett is yet worthy of specific mention on our board.

Snapshot said P was the best freshman in the conference. Josh Young is irrelevant to that claim. Thats just going completley off the fact.

example. "Micheal Beasley is the best player in college basketball"
"Perhaps but Lebron James is better"

What the hell does that have to do with college basketball.

And the fact the thread is specifically geared towards the Creighton game why are we concerned somebody we arent even playing?

Awesome Sauce Malone: Here is his stat line from the 01-12-08 CU @ WSU game.
              10 Stinnett,P'Allen.... g 6-14 1-4 3-4 2 3 5 2 16 1 1 0 2 29

6-14 and 1-4 from the three does not concern me. Why should someone (e.g. Snapshot) be concerned about a player who has not yet looked that great against the Shocks? Why was PAS even mentioned??

PS Why are there no box scores here: http://www.goshockers.com/ViewArticl...ATCLID=1367732?

ADDED: CU shot 54.3% (25-46) on Jan. 12 while P'Allen shot 42.9% (6-14). CU shot 62.5% from the two and 45.4% from the three. PAS shot 50% from the two and 25% from the three. If PAS had shot all of CU shots (with 50% from the two and 25% from the three, 22 3-pt attempts and 24 2-pt attempts), we would have won 65-50 (6-22 three pointers for 18 points plus 12-24 two pointers for 24 points plus 8 FTs).

This is great! LOL Had me rollin'. Unfortunately the reality is much less dramatic. Let's just hope that when Matt does his dramatics, he has a Shocker uni underneath or it could get real ugly! We just need to play with as much effort as we can. I feel confident it won't be a complete blowout if we do that.

im not going to get into a pissing match with you. I dont really care who is the better player between JY and PAS

My intial comment was in regards to you saying Josh Young was a better player than P'Allen Stinnett. You made that comment in direct regards to Snapshot saying P'Allen was the best freshman in the conference. Which absolutley made not sense. If you are debating who has a better hamburger you wouldnt through KFC or Taco Bell into the mix would you?

And as far as you not being impressed with P"Allen
16 pts and 5 rebounds doesnt impress you? he had 1 TO to his 1 Assist and recorded 2 steals. Thats pretty impressive for a freshman.

Josh Youngs stats against us were nearly identical.
                  6-12 2-3 0 3 5 2 17

For the year P'allen is averaging 10pts 3 boards and 2 assists. 22 MPG.

Josh Young is averaging 15 pts 2 boards and 2 assists in 30 MPG

My point was "Why be concerned about (or afraid of) P'Allen as a freshman?" Nate Funk as a junior or senior? Sure; his "shoulder" had done us in previously. Ben Jacobson in the second half of his MVC career? Of course; there was a reason to worry about him.

I just don't think P'Allen has "earned" the type of respect/fear that the comment "Maybe, if P'Allen Stinnett wasn't playing, but not with him in the game" suggested (to me).

Creighton by 10. Life sucks as a shocker fan, wait till baseball season.

I still love em though and help fill the seats :goshocks:

Hell yes everyone on Shockernet is supposed to pick WSU to win all the time. As I've been chastised for not picking WSU wins and the explanation given to me is that a great deal of 'Homerism' is to be expected on a WSU fan message board. With that in mind, logic and common sense be damned! Screw realistics views and always wear your Yellow sunglasses and Homerism trumps all.

Screw Homerism, Shox lose big because A) we suck at Creighton, always have, B) this team is particularly bad this year and C) Creighton is going to be angry after losing to Drake and unforunately we will have to bear the brunt of their beatdown.

I was at that WSU @ CU game 2 years ago. I believe WSU can play well at Omaha because i am pretty sure in that same game that the Shockers were 19 points in that game. Last time i checked that is playing pretty well. Hopefully they can just hang on this time.

No, I have my own high school basketball game to play. I will video tape it thought. Can't wait to see the Shockers pull off the upset over Creighton.
