Good heavens -- two blocks all season? He almost surely had a negative plus-minus on blocks. Apart from that, I wonder whose shots he blocked? How would you like to be the blockee and have to listen to your teammates give you crap the rest of the year not because McDermott dropped 30 on you, but because he BLOCKED YOUR SHOT? Talk about embarrassing...

Obviously, this has nothing to do with bracketology, but I don't mind veering off as much as usual because bracketology is so meaningless at this time of year anyway. Really, who cares about summertime Lunardi?

But he's ranked Top 10 nationally in flops.

I think it's safe to say at this point that he wants the D. However, his D pales in comparison to Cottons D.
That's not very nice. Everyone loves Cottons D.

            Tray Woodall from Pittsburgh didn't.

That's true. He disliked Cotton's D so much, it literally made him cry.

I am more than happy to admit that I want the D if we are talking about Tekele.

Maybe he will finally make the MVC All "D" team this year :)

I think it was just too much for him. Did anyone give him that much for 2 halves in the regular season like Tekele did? He was probably just not used to it.
Give Tekele some credit. He has unrelenting pressure.

                    • Nick Wiggins fit the same mold last year...great offense but not enough defense to play major minutes. So I guess some coaches have to take what they can get and deal with the deficiencies. HCGM has his priorities straight.

Look at Doug's back-up…If Douggie is #222 at defense, Wragge is about #333. Doug looks good in practice!

                        That said, Douggie can score.

                        • I only saw Doug play in the three games against the Shockers last year, but it seemed to me he had made some major improvements over his previous year. Sure he had a long way to go, but if he continues the same level of improvement, he'll do fine.

And I'll tell you one thing I like about him, I have never heard him make anything but gracious comment about WSU, individual team players, and our fans.

There is a lot to respect about this young man and I personally hope he, along with tons of our players, play many outstanding years in the NBA.

Absolutely, but defense isn't in that lot.

                            • I have to admit, other than the rivalry, there really isn't anything I dislike about him. It's all in good fun to me. He has always seemed to be a class act.

Agreed. I don't like his dad, and I don't like that his version of walking on is just having his dad pay his tuition, but there's nothing I dislike about him as a person. Even his defense has improved significantly.
