I couldnt imagine Creighton vs KU for a chance to play Wichita State in the elite 8. It would be too much fun.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

I was listening to Bruce Pearl and Jason Harowitz today on SIRIUS radio. A guy called in from Toronto, Canada with his top 4 seeds in the NCAA tournament: Wichita, Syracuse, Arizona and Kansas. Both Jason and Bruce Pearl said they couldn't argue with those picks. Pearl also said that he thought the Shockers would go undefeated this season and Jason said even if the Shocks lose at Indiana St they should be a #1 seed.
I loved hearing this kind of discussion on national radio.

Having said that, though:
a) Don't forget that the Shocks would still have to take care of their own business (i.e, March 2013 instead of March 2012), although I like this team's motivation, mentality, and prospects to do so a lot.
b) For Creighton to play anyone in the round of 16 would be an unprecedented, almost apocalyptic breakthrough, one that I'm thinking may be beyond the scope of even Lunardi's fantasies -- Creighton winning TWO games in the tournament? Really?
c) On the other hand, for what it's worth, Warren Nolan has Creighton rated ahead of Kansas right now in his Power Index (Creighton #9, KU #11, and WSU #2 behind only Arizona). How about that to give the Omaha Jayboys a chance to talk some smack to the NE Kansas Jayboys?Last edited by WSUwatcher; January 23, 2014, 05:03 PM.
