Enjoy Dougie's senior year (and Gibbs' sixth year and Wragge's tenth year)...because unless Wookie has a love child that we all don't know about, there isn't another All-American walking through your door next summer. Meanwhile, at WSU, many of the key figures of last year's Final Four run (which by the way requires consecutive NCAA wins, which sCUm knows nothing about) are back not only for this season...but several will be around for the following season...and more for the season after that. HCGM doesn't win basketball games with guys good at playing suburban HORSE. He does it with athletes.

Oh, and congrats! You beat WSU 2 of 3 games this season when you were a preseason Top 20 team and WSU was losing five seniors and was picked fourth in the conference...and some brilliant pundits like Bleacher Report predicted that WSU would have one of the biggest letdowns after the 2011-12 season. Nice job! It took you until the final game of the conference season to clinch a title over a team with seemingly no chance to make waves at the national level. Holy hell....let's put sCUm up with Wooden's UCLA teams as the greatest team in college basketball history.

Gonzaga was an easy #1 seed? They only beat a team 3 times by a solid average margin of 12 last year. That team? Saint Mary's...who was basically handing sCUm their backsides for majority of the game. So, if the Zags were weak, it indirectly doesn't say much about sCUm either.

Would I love to be out of the Valley? Hell yes. I will give you that. However, if you think the Big Priest puts you on the same level as the bluebloods, guess again. Get ready to become the Evansville of the Big East once you start learning about college athletics politics coming from your conference mates in DC, New York, Phily, and Chicago. I guarantee that they won't be too interested in how things benefit Omaha when it comes to conference matters. Somebody has to be the political conference doormat.

So....as we have said many times, get back to us when you have some national pub and can win 2 games in an NCAA Tournament.

I notice that CU hs a thread about WSU on the front page of their messge board. It appears to be the most viewed and commented thread on their board.

I do not see a thread about CU in the first several pages of ShockerNet. That pretty clearly indicates which fan base is more concerned about the other school's athletic fortunes. Shocker fans do not seem to be obsessed with CU. CU fans feel it is importnt to discuss what's happening with the Shox.

Despite all the denials of caring at all about WSU. Despite all the claims of it being better to change conferences than to have a F4. The actions of CU fans seem to indicate that they care very much about WSU.

They're leaving conference that only had 1 team in the F4 last year. They're joining a league that had 2 teams in the F4 last year. Of course, both those teams are now members of the ACC.

So the Big East, as it is today, had 0 finial four teams.

If the CU poster is celebrating that they are in a conference with 2 Final Four teams we need to look at the conference they are in.

The Big East as it is today also only had 5 NCAA wins from my count: Creighton (1), Butler (1), and Marquette (3). That is only one more win than the MVC had: Wichita State (4). The New Big East won't be nearly the conference scum fans would have you believe.

Big East fans in general think more highly of themselves than they should. There are still some good and solid programs in the conference, but no longer do they have the heavy hitters like L'ville and company. They will probably finish 6th to 8th in RPI. I'm pretty sure they'll finish behind the XII, B1G, ACC, MWC and at least one of SEC and P12 if not both.

Here's a difference between WSU and Creighton -- WSU has no ceiling. Self-imposed, or otherwise. Creighton believes there is a ceiling, so they have one. The real problem for Creighton though, is the ceiling fan. No matter how high the ceiling, the fan is still 4 feet off the ground. (It helps to envision the ceiling fan as absolutely any team playing Creighton in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament.)

So please, get your fill now, because as much as you're gleefully reporting that we're setting ourselves up for a fall, you are unknowningly doing the same.

It's more like we're knowingly and comfortabley sitting at a 3rd basecamp on our way up the mountain. You know. Where a base camp equals a weekend of the tournament, and the summit is the national championship. We've seen the peak. Creighton is still looking for a sherpa that can carry their crap for them because they can't make it more than 30 ft. without falling off the mountain.

This doesn't even make sense. I assume the bird is supposed to be a Final Four? In which case WSU is really more like the one with two already in the bush. Or is that one in each hand? And according to basically everyone in the national media, we're much closer to another in the bush, or the hand, than Creighton. I'm not sure what we'll do with another in the hand -- Maybe juggling? Anyway, don't worry about it, we'll figure out what to do with all our birds when the 'problem' arises.

And just as you rightly say you won't see us at the bottom, neither will we be expecting to see you at the top.

This poster and sCUm's fan base reminds me of a Providence fan or a DePaul fan. They're bragging about being in a "major" conference (it's now been stripped pretty bare) but they haven't done **** in them and can't even get out of the first weekend of the NCAA's. They keep bragging about conference affiliation but nobody knows or cares about them. Except Providence actually has been to a Final Four.
