2013-14 Schedule

Sully just tweeted @PaulS:uellentrop: WSU will play Western Kentucky and Oral Roberts in men's basketball next season at home. Both guarantee games with no return.

Actually not quite as good as usual last year; both were down. Still, both had top 150 RPI ranks even in a down year, good name recognition, and a history of success "at their level" that gives reason to hope for them to be positive RPI games next season.

I have heard that one of the CBE games will be Buffalo, which shouldn't hurt us too bad.

Home Games: Davidson, Detroit, two crap games from CBE, Western Kentucky, Oral Roberts, Tennessee (Intrust game)

Road Games: Tulsa

Neutral court games: A two game mix of either Tulsa, BYU and/or DePaul

Am I missing anything?

I have also heard we have an agreement to start a home and home in Wichita this season with a BCS school but we are struggling to find a date that works because of scheduling conflicts with the volleyball team. Hopefully we can figure it out and make it happen.

Only $20K for WKU? I'm thinkink that is a lot less than we give for the usual RPI killers. Looks like the FF4 is paying off in scheduling. WKU gets paid and a chance at a huge upset, we get a not huge RPI killer; sounds like a win-win.

What? I love what the WSU volleyball program has become -- and the volleybabes are much prettier than our hoopsters -- but if they're in the way of upgrading the basketball schedule, that should be a no-brainer. Schedule the basketball game, and let volleyball work around it, including a change of dates if necessary, instead of the other way around. Or would that be a Title IX violation?
