I don't want to start a fight, but don't quote two words I used out of context. I didn't say "a lot" in the sense you're using it here. It's dishonest to phrase a quote from my post in the way you're doing it.

I never said anything about how many people do what my grandmother does. I was just pointing out that we have "a lot" of older fans, and the walk to the arena can legitimately be a concern for many of them, so I wouldn't dismiss their complaints as just being about laziness.

      • If we don't sell this game out, then we never will at IBA.

Thankfully, the bandwagon will be plenty full thanks to this year, but it shouldn't take this year to get the job done. We're better and bigger than that.

You could be more polite by referring the homes that people live across the street as just that instead of the ghetto. Much more polite and much less IGNORANT. And IGNORANT is much more polite that what I could call you for saying that....

Now if the posters could release this thread from its hijacking and get back to the topic of the 2013-2014 schedule, it would be much appreciated...

          • Wichita and our beloved alma mater has a population full of fat asses. One of my very complaints about President Beggs is how he seemed to have an insatiable appetite for gobbling up on campus green space with parking lots all the while moving activities and events off campus. In my opinion our alma mater is perpetuating the downfall of our nation by promoting sedentary lifestyles through their craptacular development policies. I don't have a problem with handicap parking, etc. that is very necessary but morbid obesity is not / should not be a disability/exceptionality.

            • Maybe I should post this on the "Development" thread if there is one but can anyone shed some light on who we are trying to schedule for our last few games next season?

                  • The NCAA Tournament is doable. But so very much goes into how far you can advance. The region you are put in, the seed you have, what other teams in that region do (as far as helping your cause), and MUCH, MUCH luck. You can say all you want about talent and how well you are playing at that time, but if you don't have a very healthy dose of luck, you may be in for a tough time not to mention a short time in the Dance. All things have to align. We have the talent and we have the coaches but we have to wait and see how that talent meshes together and whether there will be true team chemistry. All in all, the future looks very bright. Marshall is the true deal and he is greatly appreciated here in Wichita. I think he knows that.

                    • Is this good or bad for the Shox? Will it hurt TN's value so much that they won't be a top 25 team. This is a big loss for them.

Even though his shooting percentage was miserable and he sometimes struggled to get the ball to the team's best players where they needed it to score, Trae Golden was the lone true point guard on Tennessee's roster. As a result, … Continue reading →

Wow. I wonder what that is about. Wasn't he pretty much THE reason we lost that game? He was a good player. I actually do think this is kinda bad, but we'll see how they recover.

It will surely lower TN's rpi and therefore also lower the value of our victory over them.

my point is... Win the games in front of you and who cares about what the other teams are doing.

                              • How quickly we forget we lost 3 starters for a significant number of games last season and were tough as nails and still had a tremendous season. Lets not count UT out of being a very respectable opponent before the season even gets underway.
